DRM that wastes money and usually gets cracked before the end of the first day of release and has a tendency to fuck with the actual consumer.
I can see how it's necessary.
you piss your costumers of enough and they'll just Ya'rr it, like ubisoft they are doing just that

If you want to show your hate for Ubisoft, stop buying their products.
I know I will never ever again buy a Ubi game again.
Kinda sad because I have a lot of old Ubi games :frown:
Why does no one realize the DRM AC2 used is still yet to be cracked fully. The only cracks out now are shit, you can only play for 20 minutes and can't save.
Uh, you are completely wrong. Someone made an working server emulator to emulate the Ubisoft server.
Oh Ubisoft, what the hell are you smoking?
I'm bet someone will hack the DRM, not to play the game, but just to show Ubisoft that they are able to break their DRM.

A bunch of people will do this, and then pirate the game instead. Which results in an endless circle of shit.
I download music from itunes. Most it has no DRM and I could give that music out to anyone I pleased and they could immediately use it. Failing that, I could just strip the DRM out using any number of extremely simple programs.
And yet, ubisoft, the music industry is still ridiculously wealthy.
Funny, that.

DRM is vital to losing money, yes.
So if that was their plan, it's going well.
