which parts, exactly. should we literally or figuratively stone homosexuals to death?
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+8%3A3-11&version=NIV Hm?
You want to know what I don't get? When Christians, Western World Christians, members of one of the largest, most powerful religions in human history, exercise a persecution complex.
I wonder how they'd feel being persecuted, or did they miss the golden rule?
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+8%3A3-11&version=NIV Hm? I wonder how they'd feel being persecuted, or did they miss the golden rule?
New Testament. Cherry picking is bullshit.
New Testament. Cherry picking is bullshit.
What, so we're supposed to follow Jewish Law from the Old Testament, when the New Testament is new and for the Gentiles as well?
Those individual groups of atheist are douchebags.
Those group of people deserve voice their opinion, why are they douchebags for it? At least they have respect for others IRL.
Yeah I too was a die hard atheist. When I was 10. Then I learned to man up and respect to beliefs of others. I've got a whole church of Jehovah witnesses right next to my apartment. They don't bug me, I don't bug them.
You are probably some 14 year old who thinks that he saw truth and are all better and special. No, you go through the same thing most kids go through, changing opinions because your perspective on the world changes as you grow up. Its nothing but a massive insult to say that only kids say they are atheist, what about people who lost loved ones and friends despite no matter how much they prayed and believed, or people who endure everyday abuse at the hands of their partners, despite the both of them attending church and being a devout follower? How about people who did their own research and simply were unable to believe when the facts were laid out in front of them? Do you have ANY idea how many people tear themselves apart because of that? I can't stand fuckwits like you, who come into these threads and SHIT ALL OVER any logical and mature debates that may be going on and cut them off before they can start. You are just as bad as any atheist or Jehovah witnesses or Christian with this shit I see you spew on every thread. Stop posting.
How is this thread not over with? Seriously, it's only two opposing sides shitposting and trying to insult each other more, while disproving their own point that "no MY side isn't aggressive, no MY side is respectful" by being aggressive and directly attacking the beliefs of each other. Why not just leave it at "I respect your right to believe in what you believe as long as you do not force it on me and it does not affect my choice and way of life" and that "It was wrong of the people to graffiti the sign, regardless of the meaning of the sign and the meaning of the graffiti"? I mean, that way everyone's happy and no one's hurt.
tbh, i don't know who is arguing who over what.
Also one more thing, why can't you Atheist (not all of you, just some) be a little bit more open minded I mean really what's the worst that could happen if you went by the ways of the bible. It provides a great moral code, and enhances good character. Just visit your local church one Sunday morning and see how it is, preferably a Church of Christ.

It's starting to slowly slip away. It's going to be a while though. The biggest problem areas is the south east, where the bible belt is located. You can literally drive every 100 feet here and run into another church. Churches in the south are like Starbucks Coffee shops.
oh god its true save me please the shit i go through man the shit i go through

^ That sums this entire thread up, a mod should have closed it.
You're fucking stupid. I care about that pledge. Do you know why? Because from the day I started pre school I was taught to say that pledge day after day after day until the day I graduated from middle school. And so is every other kid who doesn't know better. That pledge, which is the only legal pledge of my nation, the only one that have a choice of saying in a court of law and the only one I am given to legally give my full support and loyalty to my country should I need to, contains the words UNDER GOD, forcing me to disregard my beliefs and pledge my loyalty to a Christian nation. It also forces me to disregard my beliefs in a federal and often times state court, and to disregard my beliefs and pledge my loyalty to a Christian state should I need to in any other case. It isn't some 'stupid pledge' and people do give a fucking shit about it. I don't want to pledge my allegiance to a Christian state, and I don't want to pledge my allegiance under God. I want my goddam right to freedom of religion or lack there of to be respected, and I want my fucking nation to enforce the supreme court precedent and the founding father's suggestion of separation of church and state. I want to legally be able to pledge my fucking allegiance and loyalty to my country without needing to pledge it under god, to god, or to a state under god.
Dude.....why the fuck aren't you in Congress right now? D: This is simply amazing.
