Christians Aren't That Creative, Vandalize Atheist Sign

I wish that people would just coexist with eachother. First it's the atheist sign, then the vandalizing. Both are just as obnoxious.

Pray tell, how is a secular (not atheist for fucks sake) sign as obnoxious as criminal vandalism?

People like you give religion a bad name.

They are both obnoxious because firstly the sign objects to the monotheistic religions, which is offensive to those whom are religious. The vandalism is since that it, well, pretty much for the reason you have, criminal vandalism, especially since it objects to the opinion said on the billboard.
I wouldn't expect it to be a very creative modification, it's more of a statement. I really dislike vandalism.
To assume a typical Christian doesn't question if God really exists is a bit silly. Of course there are the Christians that have no doubt that there is a God, just as there are many atheists who have no doubt that there isn't a God. Kind of the same, kind of different, but both groups are annoying in my opinion because they both like to make their opinion heard. I'd say most Christians aren't so sure and their belief teeters. What probably gives the impression that when a sensitive belief is questioned, a person will usually become very defensive.
Understanding how people could come to different results is good though. Some people do some thinking and find that they don't believe in God and others find that they do. Both outcomes are completely legitimate. But I agree with the point that people do need to think for themselves more and not to be afraid to question.
Also, this.
You are probably just saying that because you saw some news story that had the word "Christian" in it, then assumed that all christians are "dumb ppl hoo r stupid becuz dey haff a dipherent beleef den us
Crusades, and that is coming from a Christian. We fuck up BAD here and there.

Do you not know what secular means, for fucks sake
It has nothing to do with objecting to monotheistic religions and everything to do with objecting to the influence of religion upon governmental discourse. Separation of church and state, etc
Thanks for the generalization of Christians.

The sign doesn't offend people who are religious, it just says that they have to keep their religion out of politics.
First, to address the issue with the sign - Both sides need to stop being butthurt about each other and back off and handle things in a more mature way - Like sucking it up that other people believe different things. Not generalizing people, but pointing at those on ANY side who do such things. There's a wonderful thing called freedom of speech, but there's a limit where you cross the line from voicing your opinion to being a complete douchebag, and disrespecting a sign and getting away with it whereas in the reverse there would be a massive controversy is not the way to go. It's like people degenerate into little kids when religion comes into play. Anyone who does that needs to kindly step out of the room, do some soul searching and learn to grow up.
Second, Doriol, stop it. You're giving atheists a bad name. Same goes to anyone who directly insults another for their beliefs. What they believe does NOT define who they are as a person, as long as they don't let such beliefs define how they treat others. "BUT CHRISTIANS DID BAD THINGS IN THE PAST!" Oh. Boohoo. And guess what? All religions do that. ALL OF THEM. I bet if atheism would have been a "religion", AKA not persecuted, and they were in a position in medieval days or when-the-fuck-ever, they would have done the exact same thing. So again, suck it up. Everyone, every people, every culture, everything has its past and its mistakes. Do Christians do that now? Sure, maybe the crazies, but again, I do NOT condone their behavior. By now it's not socially acceptable to burn people at stake or anything of the sort because we're not batshit insane like we were in the past.
In london atheists put up bus signs saying "God is probably not real, Not stop worrying and enjoy life.
Whoever said to go to a Church of Christ, don't go. They're based on the New Testament only, and enforce crazy rules.
Anyways, yeah. Would anyone like to discuss, rather than accuse?
If I saw this sign going down the road I wouldn't even know it was athiest because I never seem to be able to remember the pledge.

oh dude by the way "all those who do not follow me will be like dead twigs that will be gathered up and burned" - jesus christ the bible you should read it some time kk?
I was defending you. I don't like it when people force their beliefs on other people, regardless if I believe it.
Millions of stupid religious billboards and we can't have a single one that doesn't include their beliefs without them ruining it for us. Fuck religion.

Yeah they all look the same
Man. If they were going to vandalize they at least could have made it blend in with the rest of the sign.
Also shut the fuck up with the religeon bullshit, you believe what you want to believe ( or not, as the case may be ) and stop starting arguments. It gets you nowhere.

The issue arises when they try to pass or uphold legislation that's clearly in violation of the Constitution.
It's a billboard sign, not a symbol.
It's not an atheist sign but a sign to show that we don't favor a single religion
that's why they took out "Under god"
it's not a purely atheist billboard.
I love how the crazy Christians who havnt been active since early 09' or just joined try to defend shit and end up making them look like total asses, then when someone gives a reasonable statement about how they are totally wrong or why they are a huge hypocrite ("I am a christin but i dont believe in the bible or hell because the god i believe in that wrote the bible and made the rules which i am sopposed to live by is a kind and caring god and did not condone the Crusades at all or the torture of alledged witches in Salem") they back the fuck up and stop posting because their logic has been destroyed.
so they can have jesus signs and shirts and all their bullshit everywhere, but we can't have a sign?
Some groups of atheists get just as butthurt over mangers during christmas or ten commandment signs.
Some groups of atheists get just as butthurt over mangers during christmas or ten commandment signs.
I hardly see any of this, being in the deep south and being raised by the bible at my bedside, and 95% of the people around me are Christian or Catholic. I was the only person in my school who didn't believe in god and the one time voiced my opinions to the people who I thought were my friends, shit hit the fan. Little did I know that instantly made me a satanist and a murderer and the news of me not believing in god spread through the school in 2 days. Needless to say those were the worst years of my life.
Once, my Grandma called the priest at her church and asked him to come to my house and read me a few pages from the bible. I let him in, listened to him carefully, and commented that it was "A great story"
That year, my grandma didn't call on Christmas.
If anyone can be "butthurt" on Christmas, its me.
And the Churches being as common on street corners as Starbucks in the south analogy was more than correct.
why the fuck are there atheist signs and symbols anyway, we're not a religion, we're literally the antithesis of religion

And a lot of Christians in China have something to be annoyed about as well when they're being imprisoned, never to be heard of again. Go ahead and be annoyed at the people who have unjustly treated you, not at the people who are affiliated by the term Christian.
Nobody even fucking likes doing the pledge anyway.

Source on this please, I find this highly unlikely.
Also, I am annoyed with the people who are affiliated by the term Christian, did you not read what I said?
The fact that they did it shows how butthurt and useless they really are. Keep doing it, when are you going to realize that for the first time in history humanity has finally begun to abandon such nonsense?
What? The amount of anti religious people is tiny, It's like a spec of dirt compared to religious.

Maybe it has something to due with the fact atheism isn't anything, stop treating it as another religion, you guys just contradict yourselves constantly.

Are you fucking retarded? Its definitely NOT a SPECK of dirt. I hear the UK is not mostly religious, and that Iceland is very atheist/theist.
And guess what god isn't anything either. Stop treating it like its something important. Hes nothing. Prove me wrong.

Of course I read what you said. But why are you annoyed at some people who had nothing to do with what happened to you?
