Actually, these laws are good. They need to be coupled with new, easier immigration laws.
The only thing I can point out wrong with this is that they ask Hispanics if they're legal when they are stopped for a lawful reason. Oh the humanity!
Yes Virginia, police harassing people because they're hispanic is bad
Yes Virginia, police harassing people because they're hispanic is bad
They aren't supposed to do that though
Logically, yes, but where did I ever say it?
educated guess you said you supported the Arizona one so
Yeah dude thinking that hispanics are more likely to be illegal immigrants than most other races is definitely racial profiling.
acting upon it is bad, yes aka racial profiling/discrimination
They aren't supposed to do that though
lol the arizona bill basically legalizes racial profiling they've been doing it forever and now they can legally do it
Alright, well here's a question for you all; if you do not support the bill, then what alternate method to crack down on illegal immigration would you use? I'm curious.

They can however ask people who they stopped for a raisin for proof of citizenship. (You know, just like how when you stop someone for speeding or anything of the sort you ask them for their license)
They can't stop people for no raisin and ask them for proof of citizenship.
you're copying perfumly
Alright, well here's a question for you all; if you do not support the bill, then what alternate method to crack down on illegal immigration would you use? As having lived in Miami for five years im all for this.
As having lived in Miami for five years im all for this.
glad to know that you're a racist and support racial profiling
glad to know that you're a racist and support racial profiling
It's easy to make that stereotype if you haven't ever lived in a city that's crawling with illegal immigrants. Also anyone who lives in a border state can understand why states are starting to do this if not exactly agree with the execution.
you're copying perfumly
Uh..how?
It's easy to make that stereotype if you haven't ever lived in a city that's crawling with illegal immigrants. I don't think I copied him on purpose I just started watching Futurama again...so...
Amnesty and immigration reform.
Amnesty? Not quite fair to the immigrants who spent years going through the process legally. They'd scream bloody murder if that went down. What sort of reform?
Amnesty? Not quite fair to the immigrants who spent years going through the process legally. They'd scream bloody murder if that went down. What sort of reform?
Make it way easier to get legal resident status.
Can't they make a decent anti-illegal immigration law without it involving racial profiling?
You know the Arizona law specifically PROHIBITS racial profiling, right? It says people can only be asked for ID if they are being stopped as a result of another violation. It's just like seatbelt laws before they cracked down on those for extra income...

Any asshole cop can now pull over the brown guy for speeding then ask for a green card, regardless of whether the person was speeding or not.
This gives a cop the power to profile. Any asshole cop can now pull over the brown guy for speeding then ask for a green card, regardless of whether the person was speeding or not.
And once IAD notices all these false positives, he will be under investigation...
This gives a cop the power to profile. Any asshole cop can now pull over the brown guy for speeding then ask for a green card, regardless of whether the person was speeding or not.
That can happen ANYWAY
Can't wait for every state to have this.
That can happen ANYWAY
racial profiling occurs right now so legalising it is the solution? lol [editline]10:05PM[/editline]
Can't wait for every state to have this.
probably because you're a white middle/upper class suburban kid
This gives a cop the power to profile. Any asshole cop can now pull over the brown guy for speeding then ask for a green card, regardless of whether the person was speeding or not.
OH yes, because no one else can break the same laws like speeding. You do realize it doesn't matter who they pull over, as long as they meet their ticket quota.
probably because you're a white middle/upper class suburban kid
Is there something wrong with that?
Good to know that you're a racist.
Yes, lets just call everyone a racist who believes in this law. Lul
Is there something wrong with that?
you're only basing your like of this bill off of your own perspective this law won't affect you at all look at other people's perspective [editline]10:16PM[/editline]
Yes, lets just call everyone a racist who believes in this law. Lul
yeah because supporting racial profiling isn't racist :downs:
you're only basing your like of this bill off of your own perspective this law won't affect you at all look at other people's perspective [editline]10:16PM[/editline] yeah because supporting racial profiling isn't racist :downs:

You support a racist law, thus it is logical to assume that you are also racist. If you were not a racist, you would not support racist things.
This law will only affect illegal immigrants. Also, anyone who calls it racial profiling is a complete idiot. They don't actually understand what the law does.
racial profiling occurs right now so legalising it is the solution? lol [editline]10:05PM[/editline] probably because you're a white middle/upper class suburban kid
God you're so condescending. Get over yourself. This bill doesn't let them pull people over for no reason, it lets them ask people who they pulled over for speeding, or any other illegal things for proof of citizenship. Sure, lol, there will be the cops that pull people over for no reason, but they exist now, and whether these bills pass or not is NOT going to affect them. If this bill said "Cops can now pull over people of Hispanic/Latino descent and ask them for their citizenship papers" then shit, I'd be against it too, but it definitely doesn't say that.
You support a racist law, thus it is logical to assume that you are also racist. If you were not a racist, you would not support racist things.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA...hold on...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That's like saying you're racist against apples because you like Grannysmith apples but hate Macintosh apples.
