Florida Republican leaders drawing up Arizona-styled anti-immigrant legislation

How is asking if someone is a citizen of the U.S. against the constitution? This shouldn't even be covered by media, it's enforcing existing laws. As a south Floridian I could do with less Mexicans in my school, considering 7/8 of them are illegal/kids of illegal parents.
I'm totally blown away that you and others are completley blind to what this law is saying as a whole. Seriously take a step back and look at the big picture of what it's going to be doing.
Don't give me that bullshit saying it's going to be cleaning up the state, beacuse it's not.
I also find it rather funny that the only people don't find this law racist are Americans.
Oh I didn't know other countries such as China or entire continents such as Europe have these kinds of frickin' problems!

I think you need to take a step back and look at what you're saying. The only reason anyone wouldn't have proof of citizenship is because they're illegals. If they're illegal, they don't live here. They get deported.
Seriously, he just implied that other countries know what's good for America better than...America

Thats just standard procedure, if you don't have a driver's license, you're either joy riding which is illegal or you're an illegal immigrant...which is illegal!

Well hey, you have no proof that they accept licenses as proof of citizenship, regardless of whether that makes sense or not.
I'm saying I don't support a law that supports racial profiling, like you.
Here we go back to the "racial profiling" because you know you're completely wrong.
Well hey, you have no proof that they accept licenses as proof of citizenship, regardless of whether that makes sense or not.
A license is proof of citizenship. It's proves you legally live in that state.
It's easy to make your side look better when you can call the other side racist bigots without proof
Do you honestly think this law will not lead to racial profiling?
Do you really think that? Truly? If you do, that's pathetic.
Tell me how this law will lead to racial profiling.
Yes it is, it shows that they live there in that state. If you legally live there, that is proof of citizenship. What do you not understand?
legal residency =/= citizenship
immigrants don't become citizens immediately, and they can have licenses
and a license is not proof of citizenship in a literal sense; for example, it doesn't prove that you can vote
This law won't change shit, people will pull people over for no raisin just as much as now
Well hey, you have no proof that they accept licenses as proof of citizenship, regardless of whether that makes sense or not.
That's just it, if a cop enters the ID number into the system, then they can find quite easily if you're a citizen or not. Plus its easy to tell fakes licenses from real ones.

Yea... A license kinda shows that you live there legally.
So if what you're telling me is true
This is literally no different from how it is now

Eeer....whats with the picture?
I thought it fit the mood
Naaaaw, a picture of Al Sharpton claiming racism would...
Well it's a "realization" face...so
Yea... A license kinda shows that you live there legally.
you missed my point by a kilometer
there's a difference between residency, permanent residency, and citizenship
you don't even have to be a permanent resident to get a license

A driver's license requires proof of citizenship and proof of age upon taking the driver's test.
Do you at any fucking point in the "getting license" process have to show them proof of citizenship
Do you at any fucking point in the "getting license" process have to show them proof of citizenship
Yes. I myself was sent out the door when I applied for my permit because I forgot proof of citizenship.
Ohhhhh shit game over JDK

Entering a bar requires (in a lot of areas) one to be 18 or 21, but if you bang a 17 year old who you picked up in the bar, you're still at fault.

Drivers licenses do not require citizenship. They require legal residency. There are three big tiers of residency: Temporary residency, permanent residency and citizenship.

You need a birth certificate, proof of residency, and social security card at a minimum. Most illegals don't have all three.
Does a social security card require proof of citizenship to get?
Or rather, does it require citizenship
All three of those prove that you legally reside there and have citizenship.

To get a social security card you must: prove age, identity, and U.S. citizenship or current lawful, work-authorized immigration status. If you are not a U.S. citizen and do not
have DHS work authorization, you must prove that you have a valid non-work reason for requesting a card. (which means if you are a foreign exchange student or other).
Taken directly from the Social Security Card application.
