I hate comcast too. Speed is fine. Reliability is fucking abysmal. I find myself tethering my phone to my PC more and more to get decent access and even better speed.
I don't even have internet for the majority of the time. It's guaranteed to go out every night, and during the day, it will go down for 5-10 minutes, and come back up for 1 minute, and keep continuing this pattern until it finally goes down all night. And guess what my only other options are. AT&T, or the T3 line that the hospital down the street uses. I have pretty much no choices here in Arkansas.

I must be on of the lucky ones who don't have much of a problem with Comcast. The speeds are great(better than the FiOS in my area) and I never have any trouble with bandwith or whatever. Sometimes random things happen to our service and Comcast will be slow to respond but we work our magic and get free stuff like last time we had no service for 3 days and got 3 months free in return.
Well shit if I knew you were going to guess that broad I wouldn't even put up the picture.
I have FIOS and love it. It's never went out on me and the speeds are fucking brilliant.
'Dat upload speed, dear sweet Jesus.
no fios here in West Virginia, wonder why I hate Suddenlink, Internet goes out 3-8 times a week every week and it's expensive
I want fios so bad. It's better than the unspeakable shit that AT&T is. Sadly, verizon fios is not available in my area
I've always been happy with Charter. Good TV, Good Internet, Good Customer Service. Can't honestly complain. We've had some troubles since the storms of April 27, but we had six telephone poles get completely destroyed, and they still have to work on them every week or so, so I don't blame them for that.
When I see speeds like 40 Megabits and stuff I always go "Holy SHIT" then I realise I have that speed and it's pretty normal these days I'm still used to 8 Megabits for some reason
Yeah, I just checked and FiOS isn't available for my area yet. We did just recently get U-Verse though in the area, so hopefully FiOS will follow soon behind it. [editline]3rd August 2011[/editline] And I'd be willing to pay the $199 for the 150/35 FiOS service. I pay $99 right for 60/20, so I'm getting more than double for double the price. I could easily cover that increase in cost.

Before tyhat I had comvast, and I was getting 1 megabyte a second back in 2007 so that was fucking god teir. I miss comcast :(
I've got AT&T for now but looking into charter because those are basically the two ISPs around here.
FIOS is nowhere near me. :suicide:

Even when there is a problem and the download speed goes to shit, the upload never flickers. I have charter, and although the customer service sucks, the service itself is pretty good.

[editline]3rd August 2011[/editline] Trust me, you will not regret it.
No I mean that my upload speed should be around half a megabyte but instead they are MAYBE 250kb/s also once they CAPPPED THE FUCK OUTTA MY ASS

Have 36 Mb's with comcast, when im only paying for 15 Mb. And we haven't gotten any notice of going over our limit yet, so i can't complain.
That's odd. We've not got any data caps for us.
I live in a small town and when I first moved here I fucked with their netywork by downloading like 200gb of shit in a couple weeks, their internet crashed for a week because it could handle the bandwidth I was sucking up lol
We pay 100$ a month for our comcast internet now. I get 150-200kb/s download 30 kb/s upload.
I've got a 35Mb up/down with FIOS. On speed tests I regularly get over 45Mb/s.
Have 36 Mb's with comcast, when im only paying for 15 Mb. And we haven't gotten any notice of going over our limit yet, so i can't complain.
Comcast caps at 200GB's so be careful.
Because we needed an FCC study to know that fios is superior?
We pay 100$ a month for our comcast internet now. I get 150-200kb/s download 30 kb/s upload.
Fucking hell, are you serious? Like I said, I get 60 mb/s downloading, and 20 mb/s uploading for the same price. I hope you meant you pay $1.00 a month for that. That is literally shit. You are transmitting through wire made literally out of shit.
Comcast caps at 200GB's so be careful.
250. I hit 425 a couple months ago :D
We pay 100$ a month for our comcast internet now. I get 150-200kb/s download 30 kb/s upload.
:wtc: I get 650 kb/s down and 70 kb/s upload for $20
I'm with cox and I hate it, the speed isn't whats advertised, and it's constantly dropping in and out. hopefully this will make the isp's get their shit together.
The EXACT same thing happens to my friend, it also used to happen to me too, I ended up forcing a Cox technician here and he fiddled with my houses' wiring. Also note, I have their Premier pack or whatever is the highest, the speed is higher than advertised often times, so I didn't have the first issue.
Sonic.net needs to bring their 1 Gbps across the the bay to where I live.
