Launch a rocket in return?
I somehow doubt Assad will spare a rocket that can be fired into a rebel stronghold next door to fire at Israel that won't go anywhere meaningful, deal little damage, and probably provoke more airstrikes.
Given that the target was a military research center, I'm guessing few, if any, civilians were harmed.
Military research institutes are typically staffed by civilians. The Manhattan Project was almost entirely civilian.

Yeah, its just the explosions looked rather large and the article said it was located near the city.

Maybe, maybe not. He has the right to equally respond, and has these.

Sorry for caps and bold but I think its important people realise that is referring to something else.
Scratch that, nothing to see here

What the fuck is going on in that chatbox
Isn't it basicly a war declaration?
Not like Assad can do anything atm, but still.
So here's a question: Would Israel use the civil war as a chance to disable strategic assets in Syria?
I.E. potentially prevent them from being a threat militarily in the near future?

I don't know, why don't you ask them?

Can someone bring me up to speed on why the fuck Israel has decided it wants to jump into the pool too?
I don't know, why don't you ask them?
I think you've missed the point of asking the people of Facepunch a question.
They're called theoreticals for a reason.
-snip, wrong bombing-
Israel itself already confirmed it, doesn't matter what the US says about it now
No they haven't, you are thinking of the incident on Friday.
Can someone bring me up to speed on why the fuck Israel has decided it wants to jump into the pool too?
Israel is worried rebel Islamists fighting Assad will siphon weapons off to Hizbullah in Lebanon. In order to prevent this, they have openly declared that they will obliterate any weapons being shipped to Lebanon from Syria.
Can someone bring me up to speed on why the fuck Israel has decided it wants to jump into the pool too?
everythings scattered but last I heard some missiles were going to be shipped off to Hezbollah...those were the missiles.
you know things like this exist - but when you actually see them in action like this it's fucking terrifying. thousands dead in a snap.
C'mon Israel you can't just flout a country's sovereignty without declaring war first
The rebels now have a snowflakes chance if Israel keeps doing this.
Its gun' backfire!
