How is that good? North Koreans are still people.
They'd probably be hoping it hits them, puts them out of their misery. People tend to not enjoy twenty years of famine and starvation, oppressive government regimes, and virtual isolation from the rest of civilization.
yes, the best case scenario is that it hits a country populated by millions of people yay genocide!!
That's not genocide.
HEY ASTEROID PARTY AT MY HOUSE that way you guys are fine
Yes, because "Best case scenario: It hits North Korea" sounds 100% serious. yay taking everything dead serious
"guys i wasn't being serious!!! don't call me out on my awful posting because it was a joke, like on top gear!!! "
Fire all of our nukes at it. ALL OF OUR NUKES. ALL. OF. THEM.
That's not genocide.
ok captain pedantic
HEY ASTEROID PARTY AT MY HOUSE that way you guys are fine
Yeah we'll be fine physically, mentally no. How dare you not invite us to the party :(
oh wow don't even be worried about this 99.97800000% chance the asteroid will miss the Earth http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/ip?2.2e-04
Disaster averted, let's just take in the spectacular images and view that it'll provide. As a purely scientific and aesthetic event, a flyby is incredible.
Yeah we'll be fine physically, mentally no. How dare you not invite us to the party :(
to be fair I'm also inviting LMFAO so you probably don't want to go anyway
ok captain pedantic
Just saying, if you're going to use a term, use it correctly.
Don't let the size fool you guys, the Tunguska impact asteroid has been estimated to be bellow the 100 meters size and it still created a 15 megaton explosion. For reference, Little Boy(the Hiroshima nuke) was 15 kilotons(1000 times smaller)
Worst case scenario: It hits a major city Best case scenario: It hits Lazor's house Likely scenario: It hits a forest somewhere in Canada or Russia.
lmao someone is bitter as hell
to be fair I'm also inviting LMFAO
throw snooki's baby shower there for the same night as well.
Well this thread is moving fast.
It was a joke, I'm sorry you're incapable of reading something on the internet without taking it as a death threat.
lmao yeah i totally took it as a death threat. you're awful at making jokes so stop doing it. literally nobody laughed at that terrible and awful post
stay away from australia kthx
Nuke it.
Nuke it.
why there's like a 000.2% chance of it hitting Earth, and even if it did it'd probably just land in a forest somewhere or in the ocean
Don't let the size fool you guys, the Tunguska impact asteroid has been estimated to be bellow the 100 meters size and it still created a 15 megaton explosion. Though, if it does by some horrific fluke hit us, let's pray for an airburst over a depopulated region, or else it's going to get pretty dark, pretty fast.
ok captain pedantic
That's not Captain Pedantic, That's Major Pedantic. :v:
im calling bullshit
Isn't this news sight infamous for this kind of bullshit?
why there's like a 000.2% chance of it hitting Earth, and even if it did it'd probably just land in a forest somewhere or in the ocean
Better safe than sorry.
"Funny x3 barttool LunchboxOfDoom DaWhatTheFox" Love how you're calling me bitter when you're getting pissy over a simple attempt at a joke on the internet. How about rate it dumb and move on like everyone else instead of acting like a bitch about it?
the irony in this post is nearly tangible
A couple days before my birthday. Awesome.

This is why we need to be multi planetary and start pumping tons of money into space projects, including asteroid defense and NOT pointless wars. One day an asteroid really will come along with a high chance of impact, and we need to be prepared.
