I would crap myself in that position. Maximum respect to the soldiers, they got balls.

Enough with the damn video game jokes. They weren't even that funny the first time.
Better video. Qaulity is bad but it's about the worst afghanistan has to offer
I will keep that in mind Dr. Fishtastic! also want to post a technical definition of irony?
Nah, it's not really.
Irony would be if a soldier assumed war was like BFBC and then he got cut down by his own fragmentation while trying to blow up a wall with his grenade launcher
I understand they probably don't know where the shots are coming from, and suppressing fire is really what they're trying to put down, but it seriously doesn't look like he has any idea what he's trying to aim at.
That's why he's looking down a scope with 4x zoom and you're just being naive
Woah! Looks like ArmA 3!
The end made me smile. They look like best buddies.
I can't say how much I love the thread title. Hilarious of you OP.
If you want to see a good representation of what it's like to be a soldier watch "Restrepo." It's a good documentary on soldiers in the Korengal valley.
American Heroes right here.
Those gunshots are quiet.
Sound doesn't really capture well on video, as far as it's actual qualities go. I assure you, their weapons are extremely loud and would probably make your ears bleed.
The louder they are, the easier it is to track their origin I suppose.
Even most silenced firearms (which do not appear in this video anywhere) meter at about 140 or more decibels, which is still louder than any rock music or a jet taking off over your head on the runway - they really only reduce the audible range of the shot slightly. A normal issued 5.56mm NATO round out of an unsuppressed M4 like these ones should meter somewhere in the ballpark of between 150-160 dB, give or take depending on a myriad of conditions, and a ten decibel jump is more like thirty times the actual energy of the sound wave. Thus, these gun shots are really frickin' loud and will kill your eardrums and give you hearing loss later in life (assuming these men aren't using something like comtacs/sordins to preserve situational awareness and their health).
That one guy should have taken the stamina perk. He was out of breath pretty much constantly.

Breach is exactly that. $15 on Steam.
Just a shame the dev's are lazy bastards. This game is a raw diamond.
Welcome to Reality: Fighting a war =/= playing a video game.
Holy shit no way!
Why, i'd love to play my FPS games with the camera tilted at 45 degrees!
This is nothing like Call of Duty. If it was, the Taliban would have the voices of 10 year olds and let out horrible, high pitched screaming noises long after they die.

Personally I liked Armadillo better.
Simply because Restrepo only really focused on the soldiers defending their outpost. Armadillo follows a mechanized infantry platoon on a variety of tasks in various areas, and it's incredibly well shot. Not to mention it doesn't shy away from graphic images, and the cameraman is right in there in the thick of it. One memorable scene is when a Taliban fighter is in a ditch in front of them, no more than 10 meters away, and they grenade the shit out of him, then move over to confirm he is dead.

Slightly OT, but did you watch a subtitled version or is there some sort of English version out there? (Or third option, do you happen to speak Danish?)
I am assuming there is some sort of narration over it in Danish.
People keep suggesting to watch it, but I am just wondering if I need to look harder.
War looks like laying down in a shitty hole and then you get shot or blindly firing into the direction your squadleader tells you to only to find out you shot up civilians.

I heard there's more similar movies coming up, like Hooligans At War and Shepherds of Helmand. And I love the quality of the footage in the movie. The contrast is good!
wtf tryhard talifag I fucked ur mom!!
Gun fires aren't so loud because it's in an open space...
Plus, you know, that camera wasn't exactly the best at recording sound.
That was interesting to watch. Shows you what Combat is really like.
This video is actually real life.
To everyone who thought this was Call of Duty, because the graphics were shit.
This guy is a noob, he doesn't even seem to be aiming at anyone when he is shooting.
noobtube fag needs to check corners more
pretty awesome video. I'm always interested in seeing what "real" war is like. makes me wanna play ARMA :v:
also the hugs at the end was real cool, gives a real heartwarming band of brothers vibe.

Ah, I shall have to watch it sometime then.
Don't know if this one was posted yet.

First time I watched it, I nearly shit my pants when the Taliban started shooting and the RPG flew right by the guy's head. Really shows how intense these ambushes can be sometimes.
I fucking hate that. ITS CALLED FUCKING FIRST PERSON! NOT CALL OF DUTY ANGLE!
