I remember when I was younger, I never knew of hot wheels, and the "suspension" on my toycars would always bend because I played with them with bodyroll and everything like in the movies, then I found out about hot wheels, and then this never happened again.
It's like someone kicked me right in the childhood.

We're all in this together, I guess. Hot Wheels was my life until I grew old enough for the internet and online gaming. Back when I was a 6 years old I would borrow my dad's AST and play Custom Car Designer in between running my collection of ridiculous little machines through Volcano Blowout. Even earlier than that, when I was like 3, I apparently had a thing for cramming every opening on my cars with play-dough.
Rest in peace, Handler. Millions of us owe you for making our childhoods fun.

I loved this toy. Today is a very sad day.
I had a SHIT TON of hot wheels when I was a kid.
I loved them because every time I went shopping with my mom as a kid, I would ALWAYS get them just because they were only 75 cents.
Now this is a death to be sad about. My childhood!
I remember owning this bad boy when I was maybe around 6.

Man, all I had was the one with a loop and a ramp off the end, with that launcher at the start.

I used to use cardboard to make my own tracks.
Hotwheels was shit. Matchbox all the way.
Rest in Peace Elliot Handler, What a guy.
I used to make race tracks on the floor using Cards and stuffs and used to race the Cars (Hot Wheels and everything else into one huge race) in said Racetrack when i was young. Shit was awesome.
Hotwheels was shit. Matchbox all the way.
But Hot Wheels was leading the way.
Did anyone else play that Hotwheels planet or some shit? It was on their website.
God Bless this man.

That thing was amazing until one of the cars shot out of it after being hit and broke my family's living room window. My mom never bought me hotwheels again after that. Fuck scientists, faster than light travel is possible, and it happened on that day.
So many fond childhood memories. RIP Mr. Handler.
Well at least the manufacturing of more hot wheels isn't a concern.
I still have all of my hot wheels and matchbox cars, RIP.
I threw away all my hotwheels collection about 10 years ago, when I was 15ish, and along with them, my Goosebumps collection of all the books by R L Stein
I regret it, I regret EVERYTHING!

Hot Wheels and Goosebumps. My childhood in a nutshell.
I still have all my cars in a huge tub in my closet. Some are Matchbox cars, but a hell of alot are Hot Wheels.
Thanks for everything, Mr Handler.
