doesn't mean the dad should be allowed to cause physical harm, just because he is creepy.
Also by 17, most women are physically mature, it's not like he's going after 8 year olds.
he was 57 years old! Holy fuck
Still, dad should've talked to his daughter. Why the hell would she date someone that old? Probably the dads fault from the beginning anyways.
How is it a bad thing for her to date someone old?

I was 'assuming' it's a bad thing to make it from BANNED USER's point of view.
And to be honest, I doubt it would last and I bet she'd regret it when she become more mature.

Ah. Well yeah, probably true, but that's her business, not her father's.
....He's saying that when you're 50 and your 17 year old daughter is dating someone older then you, you'll understand why the dad did what he did.
It's still not a good reason to chop a guy's balls off.

When's the official adult age in Germany anyways? I'm assuming it's 18 and in that case I'll have to disagree. He definitely shouldn't have done what he did though, he should've dealt it out with his daughter first.
It's still not a good reason to chop a guy's balls off.
So you're saying there are good reasons?
...
Okay, fine, George Bush Senior, but anyone else?
Good on the dad, what a creeper.
1. Breaking into someones house is illegal
2. Holding someone down against their will is illegal.
3. Castrating someone is illegal and attempted murder because the victim could have bled to death.
The father did absolutely nothing right, there were other ways of dealing with the situation, and in my opinion deserves the max sentence for his attempted murder.
I'm sorry to inform you of this but using violence isn't the answer to everything. Maybe a lifetime of playing video games taught you that human life is worthless because you think people respawn when they die, but that really isn't the case. We have laws in the real world that protect people's rights and lives.
I still like how no one has come up with a reason why it's "wrong" beyond "ew" and "that's fucked up" and "PIECE OF SHIT SHOULD BE DATING SOMEONE IN HIS OWN GENERATION"

Not really, my point that it's overboard to castrate a guy for that reason. The boyfriend didn't do any harm to the girl at all.

She'll probably look back at it and regret it all.
If that was my daughter, I'd have made him eat his balls afterwards.

It's wrong because cutting someone's balls off is against the law.

Either you missread his post or I totally missread your post.

He misread his own post.

Or maybe just tell your daughter that its unacceptable to date that person, instead of facing decades in jail for attempted murder?

In case you never got the memo, never at one point in history, has a teenage girl made a rational decision. Nor has a teenage girl listen to her fathers reasoning.

So we should all applaud the fathers "rational decision" of attempted murder of a man just because he didn't like his daughter dating him?

Yes.

in what position are you to tell your daughter who she can be with
seriously
I hope you guys never have kids.

Her problem. You're well capable of making rational decisions with 17. Do we prevent adults from making irrational decisions? No, that would be wrong.

You'd be surprised.
All I'm saying is that I, as well, would be über-pissed if my daughter dated some one who's freaking older than me. It's disgusting, it's degrading for the parents, and the old guy shouldn't be preying on 17-year-olds in the first place. Either she's using him for his money, which would be wrong, or she's with him because she doesn't know any better and he takes advantage of her, which is even worse. I'm all for free will, but this stuff still gets my blood boiling.
You're a funny man, DrTaxi.

He is not saying that, if he wanted to say that then he would, stop putting words in peoples mouths it makes you look even dumber than you are
I would not cut off his balls and let him bleed to death thats a little too far, I would have warned him at first, then I would have beat the shit out of him.
I can't believe that there are people who see nothing wrong with a 57-year-old fucking around with a 17-year-old.
Besides the age gap, he's probably retired by now, so if they had kids (not like they can anymore), he wouldn't be able to adequately support them (he probably couldn't support the girl if it was just them, either, unless he's just a rich creep, but it wasn't stated in the article) and he'd probably die before they graduate high school. Then there's the fact that he's probably impotent and wouldn't be able to satisfy her (unless she's just in it for the money). Then there's the fact that the guy is probably taking advantage of her in some way (unless she has an old guy fetish or he just looks good for an old guy). And, yeah, it's kinda creepy on the old guy's part, too. Sure, the father most likely (overre)acted on the creep-factor, but there are rational reasons why dating someone three times older than you is a stupid decision.
Still, cutting off the guy's balls is a little extreme.
On the other hand, if she just did it because he was rich and she wanted the money... that's just morally wrong on her part, but you can't argue with money. Lousy double-standard, eh?
I would not cut off his balls and let him bleed to death thats a little too far, I would have warned him at first, then I would have beat the shit out of him.
The only warning I would give, would be the rusty ice-cream scoop in my left hand.
The old guy sounds like a creep, but if it was consensual with both of them, I don't really see a problem with it. If the girl didn't want the attention though, then that dad needs a medal.
Really guys? Why would you promote this? That dad is not "cool". He's sick in the fucking head. Think about it for a second. This guy found out his 17 year old (which is old enough to understand sexual relationships) was dating a much older man. After this, he goes to the guy's house, and fucking CUTS OFF HIS NUTS. Ties him up, and mutilates his genital area. This fucker needs to go to jail. Nobody in their right fucking mind goes around castrating people.
