"My last boyfriend was castrated by my father."
Not a risk I'm willing to take.
Best dad ever? Now the moron is going to jail and leaving his fucked up daughter without a father to care for her. BEST DAD IN THE WORLD HURR.
The old guy sounds like a creep, but if it was consensual with both of them, I don't really see a problem with it. If the girl didn't want the attention though, then that dad needs a medal.
No, he needs a raping in prison

All I can say is, that's got to hurt.

Wow, what, really? People are praising the dad? What the fuck?
"The severed testicles were taken away by the perpetrator"
Whaaaaaaaaaaat
Spot on
I don't see why they're charging him with attempted murder instead of some sort of aggrivated assault/dismemberment (not a pun) charge. The father was clearly not intending to kill the guy, else he would have just killed him right there instead of leaving the guy to call for help before he nearly bled to death.
Good for the dad!
The ball chopping took it a little far, although a good ass whoopin would've done justice.
So they stole his testicles why?
Did he want to keep them?
Feed them to his daughter?
We may never know.
Oh Germany, you so funny.
thats old man achieves the American (well hes German) dream and get attacked for it. what has this country come to?
I don't understand the 'winner' ratings. He went and castrated a guy that hadn't broken the law. I'm not a big fan of vigilante justice when there's actually been a crime, so to me this is just the girl's dad going insane and castrating a guy.
you are an idiot, you keep waiting for the next man to tell you when something is right or wrong.
the father did what he thought was appropriate in his own judgement.
Thats the problems with people today, so eager to abide

sorry but it doesnt work that way. if you injure someone enough to cause potentially fatal blood loss and leave them to die its attempted murder. you dont critically injure a person and leave them to die and simply call it assault if they survive the attack. he deserves a maximum sentence for attempted murder

no actually the only idiot here is you, for trying to justify unnecessary violence that nearly left a person dead because he did something that you think is wrong. we live in a society of laws, its not based on what you personally think is appropriate in your own judgement. what if when youre walking down the street someone thinks its appropriate in their own judgement to hold a knife to your throat, punch you in the face steal your wallet and car keys? you would be the first one crying for the police to come save you, so get over yourself.

The only medal that psycho deserves is one being shoved up his ass. Facepunch never ceases to amaze me with promoting unnecessary violence to solve problems.
I'm torn on this, I sure as hell wouldn't be happy with some old fart nailing my daughter, but if I was 57, I wouldn't want to want to hitting up the retirement home for babes, either.

Call it splitting hairs, but since there was no real intent to kill, it probably should have been chalked up to attempted manslaughter. Again, splitting hairs here.

Attempted manslaughter? How can you attempt to unintentionally kill someone?
Attempted manslaughter? How can you attempt to unintentionally kill someone?
Carefully.
But seriously, fine, just manslaughter. Brain farted for a moment.
There's something that every person in this thread calling it wrong for a 17 year old to date a 54 year old man is missing.
If it hasn't occurred to you, 17 year old girls aren't exactly the brightest bulbs in the box.
[editline]13th December 2010[/editline]
I'm not calling them all ignorant, but I am calling them immature. This girl was probably one of those "He said he loves me, this is the love of my life" type of girl.

Again with the sexism. You can all stop now. Facepunch is not QUALIFIED to talk about girls.

I think violence resulting in permanent damage is aggravated battery.

You clearly got all your knowledge of teenage women from TV shows.

We never said 17-year-old boys weren't stupid either.
I think violence resulting in permanent damage is aggravated battery.
Battery? Dude, he planned this out and CUT OFF HIS NUTS. He wasn't aggravated; he was thinking straight when he planned it out.

So 17 year olds are all dumb? Generalization doesn't help get the point across any better.
Fucking winner of a dad.
That's not a caring father, what kind of fucked up message is that?
How does causing bodily harm to other people show that you love them?
He could've just told the guy to fuck off.
57 =/= 17
