How dare mature adults all get together peacefully and have fun playing violent video games! We must ban this!
I know, that's pretty much what they're doing. Think rationally! It's true that younger people are slightly more susceptible to these kinds of things, but it truly does vary from person to person. Adults, unless they're whack to begin with, won't think that the way things are handled in games are the right thing to do in real-life. The thing to do is just enforce age restrictions.
Video game nazis anyone? Are we gonna have to face Hitler all over again? Seriously this is just bullshit.
Liepzig is gonna get completely nerfed.
I blame the Angry German Kid.
I blame the Angry German Kid.
That's not even that far away from the truth, saddly
Edit:
Why disagree? It's still used sometimes in german Ohlookhowbadgamesare-TV discussions. EVEN though it's a fake, I'm aware of that.
Australia and Germany: worst places in the world.
I used to think Germany was manly.
Yeah, about 70 years ago.
Fucking idiots. Fucking goddamn old people doing stuff they have no clue about. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
And what Hitler wasn't violent enough to ban him Germany?
Why aren't they issuing gun laws?
:ughh:
Australia and Germany: worst places in the world.
Australia isn't like Germany. The worst problem here is that there is no R rating for video games so if a game is rated R in other countries it's simply banned here. This doesn't extend to digital distribution though i believe so it's not really a problem for me.
That really sucks, it is the only reason why I've dismissed moving to Germany in the future.
And what Hitler wasn't violent enough to ban him Germany?
You're dumb, materials that are pro nazi are banned in German, thus it currently is enough to ban him. As for the time that he ruled, you're even more dumb for the comment.

Not if they edit it, hence GTA IV.
First the video games!
THEN ZEE WORLD!

*agree*

They are, go try to get a hunting license there and a hunting rifle in Germany.

Exactly and they have gun shooting contests for 14 years olds...Wait what?
"Don't let anybody see blood in games... It makes them violent!!11!111one1oneone"
There is much worse shit than that on TV and in Movies. Germany is fucking retarded.

If someone is violent by nature, then that's just how they are. Banning violent games will not change someone's nature. The best part is, violent games most likely had nothing to do with how violent someone is.
well time for the German Lan parties to move to Austria, or Denmark
In other words "Germany Bans LAN Parties"
The German government (in before "3rd reich lol") is starting to go a little too far with this non-gore fetish of theirs.
Like anyone will ever get caught doing that "crime"
I doubt they'll send the police to every lan event too see whos playing what.
I'm wondering if I should report someone for playing Quake on a local network and set up a stopwatch to see if the police actually cares about that law

That's not the problem. The problem is with big events, like the esl tournaments, which wouldn't get a permission to hold the event anymore. This law would kill the e-sport in Germany.
But I heard that right now they're doing a petition against it.

That sucks really hard, I'll finish my study here and then I say Adiós Germany :)
So begins the reign of The Fourth Reich...
You know the germans always ban good stuff
why when there at it why dont they ban everything with violence, like the army and movies and other so called violent things
In other news, the majority of the gaming population of Germany has gathered in Berlin for a march to protest the Fourth Reich.
Yay Sims 3 lan parties.
Huh, I never went to any LAN event here in Germany... only at friends houses and such...
Guess I won't ever too, since they banned any game I'd play via LAN network... :downs:
I hope these fucked up laws against the internet and video games will be overturned in the future... :argh:
fucking bullshit man, driving us gamers to become some sort of outlaws secretly making LAN partys with our now outlawed video-games
