Do it, this game is starting to show it age, remaster the soundtrack GRACEFULLY, up the graphics, leave everything the same.
I grew up on that game, online, damn amazing.
a remake of it + ut99 into one game would be insane

A game which gave you an environment and a gun and told you to get going, nevermind being guided around like a retard on modern games.

unreal was such a boring game though. Quake 2 was far better and a lot more fun, while modern games do a lot more than just give you a gun and a linear environment.
UT is better than Quake 3 though, indisputable fact.

I would kill to play that game

I can see how you think that, but I always really got into the story. I Loved those games...
Fair enough, us console gamers get a truckload of exclusives every year.

Unreal is boring as hell if you're offline of course... online though, it's pretty boss
especially to mess around. Deadcity was awesome online if anyone knows what that is.

What I really want to see in a game though is something like skyrim, only far more choices involved. AKA, you aren't given a predefined storyline, only multiple possibly stories and outcomes, you're given a weapon and dropped off at the nearest town, now you decide what to do.
A game that gives you a gun and a world is great, but it'd be way better to have a gun, a world, and no fucking idea what to do next because of what you could do. :v:
Duty Calls 2
Yes, Cliffy B. Just come crawling back to us now that Gears is over.

Less than we do :)
I pray for a new Unrealtournament with face pace action
but whitout the fucking Glowy lights and light beams,All the stuff that you dont really need.
I want my ut99-04 experience back !
Ut03 and ut3 dosent count
I'm scared it will be a free to play game. It would make sense since epic said how much they hate pirates.

Don't even start with that shit, neither side is willing to give an inch to the other. Both have their own niche.
I don't know man, I kind of prefer sitting back with a controller in my hand chilling compared with having to use a keyboard and mouse. Then again that's just my opinion.
I agree that sitting back on the couch with a controller is usually more relaxing than playing at a desk with a keyboard and mouse, but that doesn't mean that using a controller is more effective.
Depends what you want from your experience I suppose. If you're looking to relax and go easy, you may as well use a controller and play an RPG or whatever, whereas if you're playing some FPS, you're probably going to want to be attentive.
i am ready to be disappointed.

How is that possible? Quake 3 was the most definitive quake game out of all of the series, it's the standard for arena-fps when it comes to e-sports and competitive play. I loved UT and I played the series back in the day, but I came to realization later on just how much more complex and yet graceful Q3 is compared to any of the UT games, especially in regards to player movement.
Pardon me if you were talking about single-player though, then I'd agree with ya
@op
Good fuck, I hope it's a UT reboot like so many others who posted here are hoping for. I'm still playing quake fucking live, while waiting for the next arena-fps. Sometimes I think it'll never happen..
It'll be a UT reboot...with microtransactions out the ass.
Remember the awesome roster of characters UT2k4 had? Too bad, you only get to play as one player model from each faction for free and the rest cost money.
Same with maps, all you get to play is some shitty map like Antalus unless you buy access to other maps.
It's pretty clear Epic stopped caring about PC a while ago, if they do come back to PC they're going to milk us.

every map in the game must be bought
individually
Unreal Tournament: Ascend

With the same graphcis
this is what i'm thinking it will be
Please Dear God let it be Unreal Tournament 4.
If it is UT4, make it more like Unreal Tournament 99 or UT2004. UT3 didn't really capture any of the good things from the two games and that was most likely because it was a multi platform UT.
If its more like UT2004 that would be amazing because UT2004 had so many God damn maps, each one was brilliant, and the large amounts of game modes kept me entertained for hours.
UT3 on the other hand only lasted a single match or maybe another if i am bothered.
Agreed. I played UT3 for all of an hour, somehow, and immediately closed the thing and re installed UT2004. There's just something about 2004 that is so captivating, and to this day still looks quite good and is still massively entertaining. UT3 just felt like Gears of War got drunk and knocked up Unreal Tournament one night.

All you people making all these retarded assumptions on how it's going to suck, please do us all a favor and shut the fuck up and wait till we at least KNOW WHAT IT IS before you just make these idiotic assumptions.
In before they claim it didn't sell well due to Piracy.
Gears of War 4?
"I've had all sorts of crazy ideas. I think it would be amazing to reboot the original Unreal with a Fallout/Skyrim vibe, where it's more about exploration than it is about action, and more RPG elements."

Old but still relevant.
All this talk about fast-paced multiplayer FPS makes me wishful though... what if Valve eventually decided to make one along the lines of Quake or Unreal? I mean, Valve is rigorous when it comes to employing new mechanics and testing, especially with FPS since that's mostly all they make.
It'd be perfect for them since they give so much attention to the little things, and plus they have amazing map design. They already have some experience as well with multiplayer similar to Quake/UT with the likes of Half-Life 1 MP and HL2:DM.
