You mean create a bridge to it made out of junk.
Why respect people who's view is to eliminate your view?
and i'm talking about the people in power, not the ideology of all republicans.
It depends. I usually just write-off that desire to vilify Democrats and all they stand for, and focus on the Republicans who are more welcome to bipartisanship. And, in discussing Republicans who do dislike Democrats, I try to look past that innate hatred and see why they think the way they do.
It's gotten to the point where I don't even see the people who claim Obama is a socialist as a legitimate politician.

No, no one ever lived in them.
WHY DON'T WE JUST TAKE THE DEBT, AND PUSH IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!?!?
Ok, so I see on CNN.com that some guy signed off on some deal that does some thing.
Does this mean we're safe?

I warned you about the inevitable collaspe of capitalism bro!
It keeps happening
There are about 4 people on this forum that at least will consider Republican policy. The other 65 or so think everybody is a tea bagger that thinks slavery should be reinstated and Republicans are all just the Koch brothers and Dick Cheney in disguise trying to swim around in giant vaults full of the world's money like Scrooge McFuckin Duck.
I am still an avowed republican and vote that way locally, but I can't support the GOP on a federal level because that's what they've turned into. Washington's righties are morally bankrupt corporate shills primarily supported by uneducated idiots, and voting for them validates their tactics, ruins our legitimate social welfare programs and propagates the mass ignorance we've become known for in the global community.
They're not even real fucking republicans anymore, the only thing they're concerned with policy-wise is continuing this trend of taxing corporations/CEOs/etc. less and less and throwing their buddies more pork and easy contracts. If I'm not going to be represented politically I may as well at least vote for the guys who don't actively sabotage the country.
I'll take the devil I honestly disagree with over the devil who just lies about agreeing with me when convenient.
So what's the latest news about this?
Have we gotten any closer to reaching some kind of deal?
The President just spoke about it on CBS.
Holy shit FINALLY.
they're unhappy with cuts to defense.

Harry Reid says he, Obama and the Republicans have signed a preliminary deal in the last few hours but the Republicans appear to be having second thoughts, Fox News says they're unhappy with cuts to defense.
fox news is unhappy with them finally coming up with a solution and not blowing up the world economy because omg we'll be defenseless if we cut that budget down to where we usually use it instead of having all that surplus cash waiting for nothing
boo hoo
a bloo hoo bloo ;~;
I'm sure the democrats are just as unhappy about the stuff they need to cut for the republicans as the republicans are about the defense cuts. It's called compromise.
Looks like that guys grandfather was right after all.
Better stop preparing for the global meltdown and put everything back and get refunds on various thingsokdonenow.
we need to fucking cut defense.

Yep.
Thank goodness, now everything can return to something close to normal, or at the very least not horribly dire!
Yep.

Since when have things ever been normal in the past half decade?
Since when have things ever been normal in the past half decade?
yeah thinking about it, lot of things still need to be straightened out.
Damn, I was looking forward to the anarchy.
Just read that the plan will be revealed tomorrow. Hopefully they cut something from defense, but I won't be surprised if they didn't.
Defense is important, but hopefully they fucking raised the taxes on the rich. If they didn't, just wow.
In before the republicunts slap it down in the house.
So, is it actually over? Has it truly been resolved?
So, is it actually over? Has it truly been resolved?
Has to be voted on by the house and senate.
