Do elaborate, I'd love to hear it.
Considering how many exports America has, and how many rescue, aid and life improvement efforts are centered in America, yes, this might. Especially when you consider that if America falls it will make the fall of the Soviet Union look like a minor upset.
Well fuck, why can't the most powerful country on earth have sane people in it's government.
Thanks man.
No problem.
Is there still a chance of this plunging to world into the great depression round 2?
Quite possibly. Things like SSI (social services), welfare and unemployment benefits will probably be gone or almost nonexistent.
I have a vision disability and I'm supposed to receive SSI after my 18th birthday. Oh well, no free money from the government. v:v:v
Well fuck, why can't the most powerful country on earth have sane people in it's government.
It does, but there are also a lot of insane people.

Rated you dumb at first, then I realised you were trolling and rated you funny instead.

Because right from the start both sides seem to have been determined to be as fucking stupid as they possibly could, fighting stupid battles on stupid issues over a stupidly long amount of time for stupid reasons, taking it online to wikipedia and forums and news sites and editing wikipedia to make the right out to be a bunch of racist asshole KKK members or the left out to be a bunch of weed-smoking hippies who only have stupid ideas or else idiots who think animals deserve more rights than humans, with unnecessary violence, and all of this has made the people suffer under heaps of stupid shit shoveled into the stupid government so that they can just do it all over again until finally there's too much stupid shit and America collapses under the weight of it all. Stupidly.

only halfway. I was serious about the democrats being as much to blame as republicans.

How have the Democrats been determined to be stupid or stubborn? They've been as compromising as they possibly can.

Can you rephrase that, at all? It's just a big-arse rant.

I don't even know what he's talking about with that nonsense about Wikipedia and PETA-esque whatever, I mean that wasn't even anyone from government doing those things.
Hey guys let pass a bill to come back later and do it again.

To quote you, elaborate. Give me some examples of how they've been 'compromising' where there's actual proof. I do not side with one side; they're both corrupt and are going to take America down the shitter. I rest my case.
only halfway. I was serious about the democrats being as much to blame as republicans.
Oh... Oh wow.
The way I see it, the only thing you can blame the democrats for is not being forceful enough, and stopping the inane shit from the republicans.

Well for starters, they both started out with different ideas for plans. Democrats started with wanting to make cuts in all areas equally and rescind some tax breaks, and Republicans wanted to cut only from entitlement programs. The talks go on, Democrats concede quite a bit, and are now at a point where they're proposing a bill that's essentially what the original Republican plan was. The Republicans have shifted to asking for more and more cuts only to social services due to pressure from their Tea Party aligned congresspeople in the House. In short, Democrats have tried to meet them in the middle, and all the Republicans have done is move that middle more to the right.

By the way, here's a source for the compromise I speak of:

I guess, but at this point the worst thing we can do is try to place blame on anyone; we need to unite if America is going to survive this without turning into a dictatorship.

Look, I'm refuting your claim that the Democrats are just as much at fault as the Republicans are. Both sides have made mistakes on this road here, but they're far from equal. I agree that they need to unite and make a fair compromise, but Democrats have already been working to this end from the outset, and for that I must give them credit where credit is due.
Times like these it would be good if US wasn't ruled by two parties that can't completely agree.
You know what sucks? I'm an enlisted U.S. serviceman, in the Armed Forces.
I know I'll get paid on the 1st of August but I have no clue if I'm going to be paid on the 15th if everything goes to hell. I'm debating on whether or not I should pay my bills if It really all does go to shit. Then again, if the economy tanks money would be worthless, so yeah.

What you need is not have a two party system comprised of a party with well meaning pansies and another party with purely malignant assholes, both of which consist of corrupt politicians bought by large corporations.

Thank you, this sums it up quite nicely.
Thank you, this sums it up quite nicely.
You're welcome, I guess. But I still think most of the blame lies with the republicans.
So...could another Hitler happen, seize the US in it's defeat by the balls and make it great?
I don't understand any of this. Can someone explain this simple and short?
The US has spending well out of it's means like a teenager with a credit card, and the bill comes due next week. If we can't pay the bills, then the credit agency gives us a poor score for being fiscally irresponsable. When that happens, the low credit score will make it harder for us to borrow money in the future for a new a car or sweet apartment.
So...could another Hitler happen, seize the US in it's defeat by the balls and make it great?
To do that, America would need a group of people to blame all their problems on. Oh wait. They already do.
except canada currently has a conservative majority government. move to Scandinavia instead.
But Scandinavia has much higher taxes than Canada yet Canada still manages to have good healthcare and schools.
And they hate weed almost as much as the U.S. (not actually a big factor at all but still)

Conservative government doesn't suck that much. We are still pretty chill. Come to Canada, its a great place.

What does America export besides cheap cars and big macs?

Democrats need to man the fuck up. They should have torn the Republicans apart after that whole "The Town clip thing" but pussed out and said "but they're very respectful people and we love you" basically

Democrats: Please we'll give you anything, just give us a bill to raise the debt limit!!
Republicans: Okay, here you go.
Democrats: That's stupid, we vote no.
Republicans: Okay, here's another one.
Democrats: That's even dumber. Go fuck yourself.
Democrats: (to news agencies) Republicans refuse to do anything and are ruining Christmas!!
