BF1942 Intro should win a Grammy...
i'm pretty sure it isn't eligible
It's only a holiday in maryland so far
that's actually a pretty good reason for a holiday. Sid Meier has been in the gaming industry for almost 30 years now and has been blowing my mind the whole time.
Wow, nice. I always loved that song.
I hope to see one winged angel win someday.
I don't know what you guys are on, but this song is fucking great. It's a well deserved award. This is real music.

I'm glad some techno song didn't win this shit. Not to say techno isn't cool and all, but this is -real- music, requiring people to play instruments.
I literally cracked up when I read these posts. As if the competing music wasn't "real", however you manage that.
Should have been one of the Elder Scrolls themes, now those are awesome game soundtracks.
No matter what you have to say about the Halo games, there's no doubt in my mind that if ANY series deserves a highly acclaimed award: it's the Halo series. Edit: I meant for the music.

Fuck yeah, I love this song. I love Civ 4.
It's cool how they accepted this song as a video game song straight up and not some 'It was a movie composer's song shit like that'
incoming shit storm
If you think that the first 2 minutes of that song are bad then there's something wrong with your ears and/or brain. I know a lot of people may not like the game because of the retards that you encounter in matchmaking (even though those retards populate every single multiplayer game ever made), but the music is amazing.

It helped add to an amazing game.
Duke fucking Nukem theme should of won some kind of reward.
This song always gave me the fucking chills.
Fuck that if we're going for Western video game music the Outlaws theme should have won years ago
Oh god I miss that game. It was awesome to blow shit up with dynamite.
Duke fucking Nukem theme should of won some kind of reward.
Isn't it just a tweaked version of Prodigy's - Invaders Must Die??
Good for them, but the song sounds really generic
A video game song winning a Grammy?!? :psyboom:

The soundtrack for ODST was in my opinion absolutely amassing, its a shame that the music was the only thing that justified paying $60 for a game that is beat in like 4 hours :(
Hey! I used that song in a video once. Edit: A looong time ago
Isn't it just a tweaked version of Prodigy's - Invaders Must Die??
What. How do you even think of something like that.
When's it gonna be Nobuo Uematsu's turn?
Not until Koichi Sugiyama goes.
Holy fuck, I remember just sitting in the menu's of Civilization IV for ages just listening to this song repeat, love it.
This is almost ENTIRELY off topic, however everyone's discussing sound tracks at random right now, so I want to ask something that's bugged me for a while: Is it just me, or does the Mythbusters theme tune sound very similar to part of the song 'Legs' by ZZ Top
incoming shit storm
You gotta admit, the Halo 1 OST was fucking brillaint:
It's an alright song, so many better songs however it's utterly insane when it comes to orchestral video game soundtracks, both from japan and the US. But i suppose it's one of the rare songs that has a vocal backing(And even considering that, it's not the best in that category). Either way, it's nice to see video game songs getting some recognition other than "LOL VIDEO GAME MUSIC ROFL"
Ace Combat did it better. :colbert:
Fuck yeah Civ 4. Great game with a great sound track.
Isn't it too old to be eligible for this year's awards?
