Canada needs some of that snow send it here :(
I have a theory that Australia is sucking the snow out of Canada.
Ha, ha! Double entendre.

Cold weather, you can put on jackets and stuff and thus you can actually do something about the cold.
Putting on clothes in the cold works, while taking them off in hot weather doesn't. (in my experience)

This! 1000x This!
That is my reasoning whenever I talk to one of those "OMG I can't waiiiiiiiiit for summer xoxox" kind of people.

Lets see if we even get snow this year.

Snow was predicted last week, but the day it was supposed to snow all the clouds fucked off and it dried out.
Fuck ice, snow is fine, freezing rain blows, we're due to have a winter storm tomorrow.
Fuck ice, snow is fine, freezing rain blows, we're due to have a winter storm tomorrow.
Exactly, I love snow but every time we get it mother nature decides to turn on the furnace and bring the temperature up to a mild summer and throw in some non stop rain. Snow probably won't start building up until the 3rd quarter of December like every year.
I've never seen snow.
Iv'e never seen show in my life either, it's funny that it's a regular occurrence for millions of people but here I am wonder what it looks/feels like :v:
It snowed like 1 single time and the snow melted so damn fast. The climate has been fucked up beyond fixing.
Looks like in a few years only mountain places will get to enjoy snow.

Snow is the best. If you're somewhere on the East Coast, you should make a drive down to the Australian Alps and do some exploring. Skiing / playing in snow... much fun. very enjoy.

No, I really hate this argument. I'm pretty comfortable wearing a t-shirt in the heat. I'm not comfortable wearing a fuckload of clothes in the cold and it's still cold anyway
You can keep it, love from England.

Crikey
I went to Australia on a class exchange five years back and the dude I stayed with said he'd never seen snow except in film and tv and wished he could see it for real at least once in his life. Hope this blows over near his area.
Meanwhile its high fifties and low sixties here in central PA when last week had highs below 30 degrees Fahrenheit and half already had three snowstorms.
65 and cloudy here in ohio, in december.... our winter........

Not that you would be here right away in terms of skiing ability, but taking a trip for skiing at least once in your life is an excellent idea

Salomon freeski TV episodes are usually pretty great I recommend them

How it feels depends on the temperature
around 0C it's sticky and globs together kind of like wet sand, around -10 it's usually fluffy unless it's been packed down, and around -20 or colder it sort of becomes little ice crystals
Beyond -20 it will actually only rarely snow, something about really cold air not allowing clouds to form as easily. Sunny days in the winter are often the coldest.
Also blowing snow really fucking stings on any exposed skin

Holy shit does it. Also I got confused when you said at 0 it feels stick, I initially thought in fahrenheit and thought your scale is all wrong.
And yes, if the snow falls when its about -10 its the best thing ever to ski on.
if you're on skis. If you're on snowblades enjoy diving to the hardpack, nub.
Which is why I ordered all mountain (groomer, piste, and powder) skis to use next weekend :v:
