That why you're here.
Close, it's step one to that.
Except you don't listen to anyone or anything when evidence, not just words, fucking evidence, is shoved in your face, you don't listen.
And it's not even close to that. Not at all. That's why we know you don't listen, if you did, you'd know that you were wrong in saying that, but you never learn.
And nether do you.
No it couldn't. Shut up. It's just the right thing to do.
Why should you have competition when people's lives are on the line?
Why do rich people get to live when poor people get to die?
Every other western country has public healthcare, and it works great, why doesn't America?
Because socialism
And nether do you.
Noone listens to what you say because all you do is spout bullshit scare tactics spewed out by idiots like the tea party and fox news.
And nether do you.
I don't listen to your fox news bullshit because of a few reasons.
1) I find other sources to check Fox against(Fox isn't biased you say? Fox invented crowds and events that never really happened in order to prove that people disliked liberal ideas. MSNBC is biased, but no where near that level of bullshit. And I don't even go to MSNBC.)
2) I'm not naive enough to think that republicans "Small government, low regulation" government actually means small government and that low regulation is actually a good thing.
3) I've lived in a country that uses a national healthcare provider all my life, but I've used the alternative systems, and I don't like them.

It works, but from first hand experience I wouldn't use the word "great"
It works, but from first hand experience I wouldn't use the word "great"
Canada's is pretty lackluster, but European ones are better.
Longer life expectancies etc.

The system does have it's problems, that's admissable, but it's a better system for a larger percentile of the population.

I was in Britain for a good portion of my life, I had a compound fracture at the knee. I was waiting in the ER for 3 hours with only a little advil to help the leg. Like I said, it works, but great isn't the best word. I guess it's a little better than sitting on the couch at home with a bone poking through your knee.
This is a stupid idea.
a. anecdote
b. if it was life threatening they would come to you first, otherwise it would be completely the same in a normal hospital
if that isn't good for you, private health care still exists in britain
It's a sad state of affairs when public opinion is considered unorthodox.

The Republican form of small government is still really big government, just in the guise of being small.

I don't know why people just keep throwing around the word life expectancy. There's more to it than just healthcare. The single biggest factors in life expectancy are things like lifestyle, crime rate, etc.

I would hardly call Republican government using a guise accurate, they just manage to call it a small government where anyone that looks can clearly tell it's just as large, maybe larger, than the democratic alternative.

Because when healthcare was non-existent (ie medieval times) people died significantly sooner.
There is a direct correlation between level of health care and how long you are expected to live.

you really should cite your sources when saying things like that

nah i just felt like making a reply glaber would make
seriously i've never seen anyone so hardheaded against something like this healthcare bill (mainly because i dont like being acquainted with such people)

The low life expectancy of medieval times and Roman times is due to the high infant mortatily. If you lived to be five years old, life expectancy was something like 50-60 years old. If you included infants it was only like 25.
So the life expectancy wasn't that low. Healthcare does play a part, but in today's society the US healthcare system isn't significantly worse than other countries. We're still better off than the Romans. And if the only difference in life expectancy is only 2 or 3 years, big deal.
but look how much the US pays for health care. it's far more than any other country, and yet it still isn't the best, and tens of millions of people can't afford it
that's the problem

And the US has a fucking TERRIBLE infant mortality rate.
No not 100%, but a good stinking majority none the less.
Let me show you something.

Just because Fox news employs a man to scream his political views at you doesn't mean he has to be truthful. Every day up until and even after the bill was passed, the right-wing media outlets screamed that "America does not want this bill." Lo and behold, the bill passed, and America was happy.
The reason why this happened is simple: America is still Democrat, even if our party has weakened and lost some of its presidential-election energy, the majority of the nation is still Democrats and we support the changes we elected the President and the congress to make. Some were a little worried before the bill passed because some details were still not worked out, but as the day approached, confidence grew, and the general enthusiasm among the left-wing news outlets reassured the national majority. A new poll is issued, and the Democrats fall into party line.
America supports the Health Care Bill.
Why not give basic free healthcare to those who need it and allow other companies to still offer better deals?
you really should cite your sources when saying things like that
It's called logic, take the stick out of your butt.
[editline]11:31PM[/editline]
Healthcare? Improve people's health and therefore make them live longer? impossible!
that was sarcasm
The Public Option is definitely a better idea than forcing people to buy health care that isn't even worth it.
I support this; I prefer to be covered when I have a terminal illness.

We'll see about that. My vote vs your vote. You better hope you party is energized to get out the vote.
Also was that poll from this year or last year?

So because 51% of people support something that means fuck whatever the other 49% of people think?
