The only "problem" I have with PS4, is that it has so many exclusives that I'm not at all interested in, nor have never played before. Like the FF series and Kingdom Hearts.
I used to be on the side of the Xbox and PC but among the always-on drm console bullshit with the Xbox, the unstoppable kinect, expensive multiplayer fees, playstation exclusives, and the fact that the ps4 is 100 bucks cheaper, I'm definitely gonna buy a PS4 instead.
Doesn't really matter for me since both consoles are probably going to be about $599 in Australia anyway. :sigh:
If it makes you feel better, we Europeans are gonna pay $529 for the PS4, which I guess it still better than the $662 hopefully no one ever is going to pay for the Xbox One.
This is wrong, you have to pay for PSN+ to play online multiplayer
FUCK, are you kidding me?! I am forced to be online to PLAY MULTIPLAYER GAMES? totally buying an xbone now
Am I the only one who wants neither console? Allowing used games isn't a positive, it's a neutral, all consoles should do it. That being said, the PS4 is undoubtedly better than the Xboner.
I'll definitely stay on PC, it's just way cheaper. I'd have to buy a decent TV screen on top of the console, and probably something on top for online play. I think I'll just save that money and quench my sadness over the inaccessibility of The Division with some amazing Steam sales or classics from GoG. That said, I'm thoroughly enjoying Sony dishing out sick burns and utterly obliterating Microsoft's bullshit.
FUCK, are you kidding me?! I am forced to be online to PLAY MULTIPLAYER GAMES? totally buying an xbone now
Yeah screw Sony, making their PS4 online cost 50 dollars a year. You should definitely buy Xbone now which is only 60 dollars a year.

There's "be online once every 24-hours" and while that's incredibly shitty, it's hardly always-online.
$399? Abandon ship!

There's so many PS3 games I want to play, I ain't gonna pick up a PS3 to play them though.
Am I the only one who wants neither console? Allowing used games isn't a positive, it's a neutral, all consoles should do it.
I think I read somewhere that you can only play games offline for 1 hour. If someone can confirm this that would be great.
You can play games as long as you're connected once every 24 hours. That's the end of it, there's no "You have now played 1 hour. Shutting down". So while you can't take it with you on a hike, you can play if there's some kind of long internet interruption. It's bad, but it's not that bad.
I'm not a big fan of consoles, but this is sexy!

Not everyone has access to quality internet.
in my eyes sony definitely had the better press conference, and since they don't give a shit about pc gaming despite owning the platform I'm not really going to cut the xbox any slack If I ever get one, I'll probably get the PS4 considering how things look now. That said, I can't speak for all the consumers out there, the xbox might turn out to be really popular by some turn of events that we can't predict. after all, you're mentally deficient if you buy one and so many gamers are mentally deficient
PS4 could have turned out worse than the X Bone, as long as it has Oddworld Inhabitants' backing, I will still buy it.
I usually get 1 to 2 weeks internet interruptions at least once a year because of storms fucking up the lines. Not everyone has access to quality internet.
Well, as I said it's still shit. I've never had an internet interruption of more than an hour, and that has happened once. If you have these kind of internet interruptions, don't get an Xbox One.
I've always been a fence sitter on this debate, but I think for the X1 and PS4 argument ill pick the PS4, but we'll see.
Doesn't really matter for me since both consoles are probably going to be about $599 in Australia anyway. :sigh:
import a ps4, it doesnt have region locking
I might get a PS4 if I have any spare money next year
It's a shame that EU and UK are still paying much more (£349 is $542) but at least the price is still better than the Xbox One.
The reaction of the audience when they anounce their DRM en 2hand games policy: also, a video about the PS4 UI:

Turns out the PS4 is a total contrast of the XBox one, well I would still stick to PC however.
also, a video about the PS4 UI:
Oh my god, you can also download multiplayer and singleplayer sperately on PS store games? That's fucking brilliant.
That console design looks fucking weird. The right hand side (bottom part when it's vertical) is like two PS2 slims stacked together. [editline]11th June 2013[/editline]
You can buy PSN+ for $50 a year, working out at $4.16 a month, which is cheaper than XBL's $60 a year which is $5 a month
Pricing for XBL is weird in the UK. Paying monthly with a credit card is £5.99 a month (or £5 I think), which ends up as either £60 a year or £72 a year, can't remember which. But if you buy a 12 month redeemable code, it's only £37 for the same thing, which is around $55 for you.
Am I the only one who thinks the design is solid? The idea is to not make it look out of place in a home and they did well.
Oh my god, you can also download multiplayer and singleplayer sperately on PS store games? That's fucking brilliant.
What if they also allow you to buy one or the other as well? Say a new AAA game came out and its single player is terrible. It'd be amazing if they let you pay maybe 40-45% less and buy only the multiplayer.

There is no way in hell that I would care about the story in that game.
