if a game has sex then it should deal with the consequences and the impact of sexuality. lots of game developers place sex and sexuality as wallpaper or extra edge to sell its M rating, which is totally unrealistic and vapid.
yeah I want to have sex with an elf then be confronted and take responsibility over our half-breed that won't be accepted into society [editline]14th October 2013[/editline]
What usually bugs me about sex/romance in Bioware games is they use it in the place of further character development. In Mass Effect 2, this literally cut you off from any more interaction with a squad member if you didn't want in their pants. And if a romance was gender specific and you were the wrong one, you were locked out by default.
What Mass Effect did right is letting you bromance characters. I just wish it was deeper bromances. I wanted the power of friendship and biceps to defeat the reapers
I don't know why Bioware has this obsessive urge to include a sexual romance into their games, it isn't one of the core story plots anyway. I wouldn't miss it if it wasn't there.

I never played 3 because I heard bad things about the story and didn't want it to tarnish my memories (of Garrus). On a totally unrelated note... could male Shepard go gay for Garrus in 3? [sp]Not that I want to see that. Gross. Ew, Turians... yuck.[/sp]
I seem to have much more of a connection to a game and its characters when there's no sexuality at all, or if it's designated to implied status.

Many of his best moments in the entire series were in 3. That said, if you're a fan of Miranda, Zaeed, Kasumi, Kelly, Samara, Jack, and Legion to some extent...you might experience some disappointment.

It implies you and Garrus had some deep convo, but you really didn't hear him do anything but whine in the 1st about his father and C-sec. Not saying Garrus is a bad character, but he only became a bro in 2 which followed in 3 with little foundation unless the player used Garrus as a squadmate in 1.

It doesn't allow antagonistic relationships, rivalries, or any of that. Unless it's, once again, the only path the game has for you to take.
God bless America! It's the cheesy sex scenes that are already awkward as fuck to watch in movies but now I get to have them in my favorite online internet video games for the computer! Thanks Bioware! I can feel the pre-cum inching its way up my rock hard cock right now!

Wrex was a warrior in red from a hot blooded and angry race built for fighting but he was always cool, calm and collected and thought rationally and kept his priorities straight. Garrus on the other hand was the complete opposite and let his emotions control him for better or worse. As the main character, you could steer them in whichever way you wanted but they didn't have the ability to steer you
The problem with Bioware's sex scenes is that they're like fucking jump scares. They sneak up on you for no reason and with no warning. It is actually possible to accidentally have sex in a Bioware game.
Mixed signals, man, mixed signals.
This is basically the level Bioware sex scenes are on:

Me: Hello, where's the nearest blacksmith Nigla Smithy: Straight in my black hole *SEX SCENE* Me: Ummmmm...?

Also in ME2, Garrus essentially became the turian Batman.

I casually skip throught the dialogue choosing good guy responses. BAM! Anal gay sex. Load the save, read throught the dialogue, reject the guy. Get +5 renegade points. Fucking seriously?

Only thing that was well written about her entire character in 3, it's a fucking super painful scene. Especially considering that, as of Shadow Broker, you're the only person she's really ever let get past her defenses in her entire life.

It's just a shame that her entire purpose in Mass Effect 3 (barring the Citadel DLC) was a rehash of her plot in Mass Effect 2.
