Petty vandalism. I feel bad for whoever has to clean that up
10 minutes with a floor scrubber.
And it changed nothing. GG.
Do you think when you put an add on TV , people who are watching this add willl immediatly say "OH MY GOD, I MUST BUY THAT !" and then 7895 people will rush to the nearest store buying this ? No, but the message of the add will stay in theyre mind, they will think "If one day, I need that product, I know what to buy". It's the same here, it's not making the governments say "Guys, we were giving guns to Israels, but thanks to the feminist who put fake blood in the ground, we know that we were wrong, now we will give candys to all childrens in Gaza",no, it's to make people think of something they barely think about and to say to the US government "We don't agree with what you do". So saying "nothing change GG !" it's stupid. EDIT : I wrote belgian governments, it's the american government, sorry. But I wonder if this airport is really used to give weapons, I mean, can't the americans give weapons themselves to Israel ?
10 minutes with a floor scrubber.
Still technically vandalism.
Still technically vandalism.
And technically, the resistants are terrorist if you look only at theyre act. But I agree that they should pay for what they did, I mean, with money.
Still technically vandalism.
Peaceful protests don't get attention. Doing something extraordinary does. No movement ever would have progressed if they just decided to picket everything, picketing does absolutely shit all. The sheer absurdity of this will raise awareness to the cause, that's all the protest is for, to make people aware of a thing. [editline]31st August 2014[/editline]
Petty vandalism. I feel bad for whoever has to clean that up-- and hope that whoever decided to empty that stuff gets arrested. We all know if someone like PETA decided to do that, the entire Facepunch community would be up in arms about how using vandalism to promote your beliefs is a terrible idea. But, all aboard the Palestine circlejerk, I suppose.
I bet you'd be loving this if someone did it to protest any of the allies Hamas has using the airport to transport weapons. It's a fucking harmless act that bring attention to a perceived injustice. They aren't actually hurting anybody. [editline]31st August 2014[/editline]
leftists showing their support to palestine with vandalism once again
"argggh those fucking LEFTIES, raising awareness! The fucking GALL they have to want their voices heard!!!"
Still technically vandalism.
a bet you're on those types of people who cry in anger at every new banksy painting
i will tip my fedora to anyone who can find the details of these wretched feminists so we may start a reddit hunt for them and put them in their rightful place.
Still technically vandalism.
and?
European feminist groups always come up with the most creative protests
and?
isn't it obvious? they'll all go to hell for vandalism. [/sarcasm]
isn't it obvious? they'll all go to hell for vandalism. [/sarcasm]
And also for being feminists, of course
"argggh those fucking LEFTIES, raising awareness! The fucking GALL they have to want their voices heard!!!"
looool it doesn't justify vandalism just because they are "raising awareness" im not allowed to fucking wreck someones car just to raise awareness about the environment, and why is that? because it's an insane thing to do
looool it doesn't justify vandalism just because they are "raising awareness" im not allowed to fucking wreck someones car just to raise awareness about the environment, and why is that? because it's an insane thing to do
false-equivalence. Stop being such a grandpa and accept that sometimes making a little mess is perfectly acceptable in protest.
Still technically vandalism.
Yes, it is vandalism, and the damage it will leave isn't permanent or hard to remove. They didn't tear up the floor tiles or something. It's just red, probably water based, liquid.
looool it doesn't justify vandalism just because they are "raising awareness" im not allowed to fucking wreck someones car just to raise awareness about the environment, and why is that? because it's an insane thing to do
This hasn't really "wrecked" anything, the damage is repairable with a minuscule amount of time and money expended. Christ, it'll probably be picked up in the daily cleanup for that floor. If they'd broken the floor, smashed windows, drawn on shit with remotely permanent stuff, yeah it'd be a fucking ton worse. But they just poured fake blood onto a surface designed to handle liquids like a king. Comparing this to damaging someone's car is fucking asinine. That can easily be expensive to repair even minor damage, environmentalists who do that stuff are called out for it all the time because it's entirely counter-productive. [editline]31st August 2014[/editline] Like, I'd be a bit annoyed as the guy who cleans up, it might take one or two passes to get it all. But it's not going to stain the place permanently, and it's not like airports are poor as fuck, so why should I care as the cleaner? I'm getting paid for this shit.
looool it doesn't justify vandalism just because they are "raising awareness" im not allowed to fucking wreck someones car just to raise awareness about the environment, and why is that? because it's an insane thing to do
what a fucking baby look at this guy
im not allowed to fucking wreck someones car just to raise awareness about the environment, and why is that? because it's an insane thing to do
No one wrecks cars for protest because that's not meaningful protest. Getting a floor wet and destroying someone's valuable possessions are two very different things.
looool it doesn't justify vandalism just because they are "raising awareness" im not allowed to fucking wreck someones car just to raise awareness about the environment, and why is that? because it's an insane thing to do
I don't recall the group driving a car through a window. Or, you know, wrecking a car.

It's akin to a 5 year old throwing a temper tantrum in a store because his parents are ignoring his requests. If you can't act like a mature adult, you don't deserve my time of day or to be taken seriously.
sry but acting like a "mature adult" tends not to garner wide-spread awareness.
So the correct approach is defacement, destruction, and civil disobedience??? Sure, things like the "ice bucket challenge" may not be a "mature" way to increase awareness, but it increases awareness in a positive way. However, using a negative way to garner "widespread awareness" just assures that anything you say will go in one ear and out the other.
So the correct approach is defacement, destruction, and civil disobedience???
No, No, Yes. When you're protesting someone, do you really do what they say you should? Or do you do what will get the attention of the public? Destruction and defacement imply real damage was done, dumping some fake blood hasn't done any real damage unless they used some turbo cheap shit that leaves a stain for a day or two.

Do we write a strongly-worded letter to the Israeli government asking them to please stop murdering Palestinians with the weapons being given to them by the West? Because that's been done about 985475 times to absolutely no effect.

Not dumping gallons of fake blood on the floor of a private airport only affecting the janitor......
Only one of those three situations is gonna get media attention. Hint: it's the same one you're talking about. Not all publicity is good publicity......

If you're doing something dumb and it gets noticed, and you're able to spin or explain it in such a way that makes it look more meaningful, you've done a good job. Why the fuck do you think PR exists as a job?

Or does it make the people doing it seem like crazy lunatics and hurt the movement? Which one is it?
