Isn't that like late?
Isn't that like late?
I think this was worth it's own thread, explosions at bloody nuclear power plants, aren't like any other explosion.
Well on the bright side, a nuclear generator melt down is not the same as a real nuclear bomb
In some ways it's actually worse.
In some ways it's actually worse.
Agree'd.
A radioactive wasteland is worse than a radioactive crater.
Won't the pacific jetstreams carry fallout across the ocean and onto the american west coast?
Totally the other way around, it seems. It says (as of right now) he posted the thread 40 minutes ago, while you posted yours 38 minutes ago.

way to repost then close my thread.
You're full of crap by the way, and to everyone else bandwagoned like an idiot:

Thousands are dead and a nuclear powerplant just exploded hurling smoking death out across japan and the pacific ocean.
Who gives half a turd whether or not you posted first, man.

It was a pressurized explosion that happened due to buildup of hydrogen. It didn't damage the reactor, but the reactor hall is destroyed. Or did I just miss something and the core melted completely?

I honestly could care less if just said he beat me to it. But the fact that he accused me of locking his thread, then reposting what he did making everyone think I'm some sort of corrupt mod annoyed me.
I'm still severely confused.
Why the fuck am I not a mod yet? :arghfist::saddowns:

Posting a question like that in a thread like this, you don't expect to be taken seriously do you?

lol starpluck
Earthquake, not aftershock. Aftershocks have been going on all day.
Aftershocks are earthquakes that have resulted due to a larger earthquake.
I don't know how you've made the distinction that it's an EQ rather than an AS.
BBC: Radiation leak at Fukishima plant confirmed.
It may be a stupid idea but since it's pretty much surrounded by water couldn't they just like.......flood the reactor wouldn't that help?
Lol and everyone was harping on this guy for being an idiot.
From CNN
The next step for workers at the Fukushima Daiichi plant will be to flood the reactor containment structure with sea water to bring the reactor's temperature down to safe levels, he said. The effort is expected to take two days.
Sir I'll have you know I am always serious 100% percent of the time yes siree!
No, was a passing question to starpluck considering we used to work on the same side and rectally destroy the folk who tried to justify the really retarded shit that Israel done, and I was merely wondering where I was when Garry was handing out candy.
Page KING!

Cesium leak, right? I think it was mentioned before.

Thanks expert, I never would have guessed.
Thanks expert, I never would have guessed.
Good thing we have Expert to tell us what kind of a situation it is, otherwise we would not care!
Cesium leak, right? I think it was mentioned before.
Probably, the topic changed before I could hear it better.
Thanks expert, I never would have guessed.
I would have never known that a containment vessel exploding was serious at all.
[editline]000[/editline]1459: At least three residents evacuated from a town near quake-hit Fukushima No. 1 plant have been exposed to radiation, both Kyodo and NHK report
Probably, the topic changed before I could hear it better.
It was already noted several times that there was a cesium leak next to the plant, even before the turbine hall blew up. That either means that the containment has a crack in it or that something weird is going on inside the reactor.

There wont be any meltdown. Right? :ohdear:
Anyone got the link to that Japanese YT channel that had a live stream of the disaster?
