You're not even arguing my points even if you think they are completely wrong you're just insulting me.
Yeah man and I never played STALKER so I know even less give my tiny luddite mind a break.
Do you know anything about nuclear powerplants other than the chernobyl incident?
Considering there's been an 8.9 (9.1 some say?) earthquake, it's actually holding up incredibly well.
You're not even arguing my points even if you think they are completely wrong you're just insulting me.
We'll just have to save our arguments until the crisis is either averted or goes very bad I suppose.
You're not even arguing my points even if you think they are completely wrong you're just insulting me.
I'm not arguing about your points because THEY ARE INVALID, MISCONCEIVED AND GENERALLY PLAIN SHIT. THERE IS NOTHING TO DISCUSS ABOUT YOUR POINTS OTHER THAN "You're Wrong."

In my opinion they're misguided, but at least he's set them forth in an intelligent and reasoned manner.
Rating me dumb for using capitals is just wrong aswell. I'm wording it so he can grasp it at a glance, Because when people get into a discussion and piss away the work of countless scientists saying "LOL CHERNOBYL WAS AN EXAMPLE LOL" it infuriates me to such a degree i want to raise the spirit of Abraham Lincoln and fly over to his country just to give him a good drubbing. The filthy tyke.
good
Except no, he has legitimate concerns. The 2011 Japanese are more advanced than the mid-eighties Russians.
We'll just have to save our arguments until the crisis is either averted or goes very bad I suppose.
Even if something horrible happens no one's position will change, Chernobyl is attributed to incompetence and poor design and Fukushima to natural disaster, people will continue to not acknowledge the risks.
Because being sarcastic about chernobyl is intelligent? It's fucking not. Soundness != Validity
Even if something horrible happens no one's position will change, Chernobyl is attributed to incompetence and poor design and Fukushima to natural disaster, people will continue to not acknowledge the risks.
And even with a large natural disaster, Fukushima isn't anywhere near as bad as Chernobyl, by a very very long shot.
Even if something horrible happens no one's position will change, Chernobyl is attributed to incompetence and poor design and Fukushima to natural disaster, people will continue to not acknowledge the risks.
Well done. Do a full 180. The risks of Nuclear Power are outweighed by the fact this was a natural disaster. something they prepared for. this was a natural disaster. something they prepared for. this was a natural disaster. something they prepared for. this was a natural disaster. something they prepared for. this was a natural disaster. something they prepared for.this was a natural disaster. something they prepared for.this was a natural disaster. something they prepared for.this was a natural disaster. something they prepared for.

It's getting annoying. You remind me of a ten year old, so get a grip.
Resorting to allcaps is a sign you don't know how to argue properly, regardless of whether you're right or not. Soundness != Validity
Either way my argument is more valid than his. he's saying "Remember chernobyl! Remember chernobyl!" Comparing an accident caused by dimshits doing something without safety measures and a natural disaster. Is like comparing a child defecating on a wall on purpose and an incontinent adult doing the same by total and complete unintended accident.
Wow and you think I'm a child.
I hope they get all the help they need. Especially the people who are stuck without water and power.
Even if something horrible happens no one's position will change, Chernobyl is attributed to incompetence and poor design and Fukushima to natural disaster, people will continue to not acknowledge the risks.
Well actually, after Chernobyl, many people's position on nuclear power did change. Some, of course, pushed for nuclear power to be banned or better regulated. Others pushed for more safely-designed plants. Furthermore this catastrophe will pave the way for future engineers to design even safer plants that can withstand 9.0 earthquakes. Everyone acknowledges the risks, we just go about the acknowledgement differently.

Also, Chernobyl, the employees did not know anything on what could happen, they weren't told he dangers. According to them, NOTHING could've gone wrong.

I do apologise. My central heating is malfunctioning because i broke the thermostat so i'm very, very irritated.

If your argument is valid you shouldn't have to. Honestly, get a fucking grip.
thread is a troll off now
mid-eighties Russians.
Ukrainians
Even if something horrible happens no one's position will change, Chernobyl is attributed to incompetence and poor design and Fukushima to natural disaster, people will continue to not acknowledge the risks. [editline]13th March 2011[/editline] No I mean test card.
There are no real risks though, so many safety precautions are put in place it is incredibly rare that anything like this should ever happen, you also need to remember that this has happened in a country prone to natural disasters. In countries like the UK there is no real risk to nuclear powerplants, making them an ideal power source. Plus if it wasn't for the tsunami knocking out the back up generators things would like have been a lot better.
Wow and you think I'm a child.
I do apologise for swearing and going FULLCAPS but my argument still stands. Nuclear power is better than coal, gas, and oil. [editline]13th March 2011[/editline]
Ukrainians
Correction to both of us: soviets.
Ukrainians
It was a soviet project so it's likely the Russians would have had say in the design.
Are you having a melt down? :smug:
Yes. Verily. I'm currently searing through the earth's crust.
Yes. Verily. I'm currently searing through the earth's crust.
Have some tea. Or better yet, pop open a beer. JUST ONE.
