[editline]13th March 2011[/editline] Wait, he's a food researcher??

This post is by Dr Josef Oehmen, a research scientist at MIT, in Boston. He is a PhD Scientist, whose father has extensive experience in Germany’s nuclear industry. I asked him to write this information to my family in Australia, who were being made sick with worry by the media reports coming from Japan. I am republishing it with his permission.
Also, if you got any questions about the nuclear plant stuff that is currently happening, ask this guy, he's the one who also showed me the link to that blog page.

(They have a video on the possible affected areas in case there's no explosion.) http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/beitrag/video/1283090/Panik-nicht-anheizen#/beitrag/video/1283090/Panik-nicht-anheizen Contradicting information from the Japanese government and the energy company, problems at two other unrelated facilities, reactor 2 at Fukushima may explode according to official information. [editline]13th March 2011[/editline]
He is a PhD Scientist, whose father has extensive experience in Germany’s nuclear industry.
Germany's nuclear industry wanted to build a reactor literally directly above a fissure plane. They moved it 70 meters away from the original location and had to shut it down in 1988 because residents sued. It's still there because the radiation from 2 years of testing, 100 days of actual usage and 13 years of storage before the lawsuit finally finished means they can't remove any of the parts that were used around the radioactive fuel or steam.
I do believe some voice actors are dead/missing and some anime is most definitely going to get delayed possibly cancelled. It truly is a sad day.
This is the only good thing to come from this.
I do believe some voice actors are dead/missing and some anime is most definitely going to get delayed possibly cancelled. It truly is a sad day.
Yeah because of the guys probably being dead, not because of some retarded cartoon being delayed. You meant that right?
This is the only good thing to come from this.
"He worked on something I didn't like; it's alright that he's dead!"
Oh no, whoos gonna make all our great animes like lucky star! desu kawaii~ [sp]sarcasm to its fullest extent[/sp]
More than likely this will hugely affect the computer electronics (for instance, that's where a lot of motherboard manufacturing is) and the automobile markets.
Why is everyone linking that? I don't know shit about nuclear reactors but I doubt you do either so.. Stop linking to some random fucking blog! and lol at the sources.. https://morgsatlarge.wordpress.com/2011/03/13/why-i-am-not-worried-about-japans-nuclear-reactors/#comment-93
Yeah, have you read any of it? Do you know anything? No. stop talking.
This is the only good thing to come from this.
Ha! Borg184, you are funny!
This is the only good thing to come from this.
I can understand that you don't like Anime, but that's no reason to wish death upon the people that work in the industry. That's like me saying, "Oh yeah so there was an earthquake in Hollywood, so good that all those dumb actors/actresses died!"

That's like me saying, "Oh yeah so there was an earthquake in Hollywood, so good that all those dumb actors/actresses died!"
I didn't wish death upon any of them. Personally, I think Anime is just plain disturbing. I will admit, I was stupid in saying that, but you've got to realize I've never liked Japan, or Asia at all really. But I don't want to see this happen to any country. No country deserves to have this happen.
Grab your vodka, Stalkers. We're going to Japan. On a serious note, the lives lost shall be in my thoughts :smith:
And thus we get another radiated zone. Crap, and our fears of another Chernobyl once again risen...

i heard another tsunami is about to arrive in japan in 10 minutes. can anyone confirm? [editline]13th March 2011[/editline] it's on the news in CNN i guess

It sounds like you're saying you hate Asia because of Japan, and that's just dumb.
"Oh yeah so there was an earthquake in Hollywood, so good that all those dumb actors/actresses died!"
I don't know man I think I could deal with Lindsay Lohan falling into some big crevice.
wow can anyone please confirm this and stop talking about this shit
There was just an another explosion at Reactor 3. Literally minutes ago. So far no one knows exactly what the damage is.
Explosion was just reported by my local news.

Hearing reports of an explosion at Reactor 3, are they confirmable? BBC News is showing nightly programming so it's hard to tell.
yeah theres a new tsunami about to hit it, cnn is showing it live.
yeah theres a new tsunami about to hit it, cnn is showing it live.
Yeah, my news just said this, the main reporter looked aghast.
Hearing reports of an explosion at Reactor 3, are they confirmable? BBC News is showing nightly programming so it's hard to tell.
I can confirm, just seen it on cnn
Hearing reports of an explosion at Reactor 3, are they confirmable? BBC News is showing nightly programming so it's hard to tell.
yes, confirmed.
Oh no, whoos gonna make all our great animes like lucky star! desu kawaii~ [sp]sarcasm to its fullest extent[/sp]
So, a tsunami hits a country, killing thousands. A nuclear power plant explodes due to built up pressure after sustaining damage, quite probably killing more people, and if we're unlucky, irradiating a large area around the blast and indeed around the world, as per Chernobyl. And that's your reaction? Truly, you are a shining beacon for mankind. [sp]You'll never guess who can sarcasm too.[/sp]
BreakingNews Breaking News People within 20 kilometers of Fukushima plant ordered to go inside buildings - Kyodo News 2 minutes ago
Uhoh.
Warning of second tsunami.
Oh for fucks sake. Can it get any worse?
