Warning of second tsunami.
Looking at the BBC ticker, they said that there were no signs of an impending second tsunami.
Oh for fucks sake. Can it get any worse?
Yes, there hasn't been a tornado [editline]14th March 2011[/editline]
Looking at the BBC ticker, they said that there were no signs of an impending second tsunami.
They said that the sea has gone down 5 metres which is a sign of an imminent tsunami
0229: An ashen-faced Japanese quake monitor is live on Japanese TV right now saying no tsunami has been detected. 0231: No data to suggest a tsunami several metres in height, the monitor adds.
See.
See.
They did also say about the sea going down 5 metres.
More than likely this will hugely affect the computer electronics (for instance, that's where a lot of motherboard manufacturing is) and the automobile markets.
A certain unnamed Silicon manufacturing company had one of it's factory collapse.
A certain unnamed Silicon manufacturing company had one of it's factory collapse.
Hollywood's gone into a state of emergency
Silicon not Silicone.

There better not be another fucking Tsunami. :geno:
BBC reporting that the Tsunami warning has been lifted, is that the case?
0254: To recap, in the past hour we have had reports of a new tsunami which appears to have been a false alarm, and a blast has wrecked a wall at a nuclear reactor but its containment vessel withstood the impact. We also had reports of 2,000 bodies found on the tsunami-ravaged north-eastern coast.
This is so confusing; one group (the energy company apparently) says that the radiation level is high outside the plant. The government says that it's under control, and another group said there's a meltdown.
Never believe the government, they downplay everything
We also had reports of 2,000 bodies found on the tsunami-ravaged north-eastern coast.
Really? :smith:
Never believe the government, they downplay everything
Yeah, but it's easy to think why they would.
Really? :smith:
Yeah, two shores in the Miyagi prefecture had 2000 bodies on them, I think around 1000 on each Source:
0234: Some 2,000 bodies were found today on two shores in Miyagi Prefecture, 1,000 on the Ojika Peninsula and 1,000 at Minamisanriku - Japanese news agency Kyodo.
Last I heard the Dead count was nearing the 10,000 mark according to the news. :frown:
BBC reporting that the Tsunami warning has been lifted, is that the case?
Just turned on the TV to find that Sky news has *AFP: 3 Meter seen of the coast of north east of japan by Helicopter*

Oh god, this isn't a big enough meltdown to affect the US is it? I mean I feel sorry for Japan and all but I really don't wanna die of radiation poisoning at 15 before I even lose my virginity. :ohdear:

The only place that it will affect is the grounds near the plant and the area surrounding it. Hypothetically, if this was to escalate to a full blown meltdown with materials being spewed in the air and such I'd be a bit worried but chances are they will get this under control within the next few days or week.

9/11/2001 + 3/10/2011 = 12/21/2012 :tinfoil: FYI, I don't actually think 2012 is going to be anything to worry about.
9/11/2001 + 3/10/2011 = 12/21/2012 :tinfoil:
No, that's 12/21/4012. Don't worry.
Holy shit, sucks to be japan/West Coast right now :frown:
fix'd
fix'd
Except the West Coast is unlikely to be affected in any significant way. People are probably going to get more ill from the stress of worrying than the radiation from japan.
I just hope you are joking. If you aren't then your as dumb as bricks if you think the US nuked japan.
You're dumb as bricks, I'm Australian and I even know that the US nuked hiroshima. You'll only really know about the radioactive cloud untill the meltdown actually happens
