Yeah haha laugh it up Non-Vancouverites. Vancouver is in a unique climate: Temperate Rainforest That basically means when it gets cold, its not that COLD, but damn does it precipitate. Like seriously without -2C weather all we get is rain. With it all we get is slush and black ice.
Wimps its 18C here in Houston
People fail to realise that it often is more dangerous in a place where it's just below 0 degrees simply because one day it will be raining and the other it will be an ice-rink.

I'd rather have -15C and freeze my ass off than hang around 0C The weather's been going between -2 and 2 for like almost a week now in my city, it's fucking suicidal to ride a bike in some places.
It's a freezing 60F here in Southern California.
Not any better where I live, -45 one day last week. Still went to work, outside too. Had to dress like a mother fucker, 3 pairs of pants, 3 shirts, 2 sweaters and a coat. fuckin Canada

i used to walk to school in -40 yes, 40 degrees below zero
I suppose with fairly warm past year people kinda have forgotten what the cold is like.
The weather in Finland is currently fucking with me. Last time I went outside for a long period of time, it was like -25C. Today it was suddenly +2C and it felt so fucking hot. Had to open my jacket and take off my cap and gloves etc. even though I was wearing stuff meant for that weather.
The worst part is that the partially-melted snow then freezes over, and you suddenly find that everywhere has been turned into an ice rink, with yesterday's gravel buried to the point of uselessness.
I'm cold and it's 30 degrees in Kentucky. Call me a little bitch please.
Pansies, it was -273.15*C in the deep space vacuum I post from all of last year. [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] That's T-shirt weather here.
Our city isnt ready for snow. We just built the widest bridge in the world and they didnt realize all that ice would drop from all the cables overhead and slam onto cars below. Luckily nobody was really hurt. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Mann_Bridge
it gets to like -5 C in february here in newfoundland and people walk around in hoodies lol
I live in Maine and it's really nice if we can get above 20 in the winter. Right now it's -20 at my house.
I live in Vancouver and have been to winnipeg a few times in the winter, it doesn't even feel as cold as people claim it to be since it's such a dry cold. Last time it I was there it was about -35 and it wasn't so bad. EDIT: oh, not saying -2 is bad though even here. Article is more than a bit sensationalist
It's definitely is a dry cold and by itself it isn't too bad, generally it's the wind that makes it particularly intolerable. The coldest I've ever seen it get is -55C with windchill but I can't recall it being that cold since then.
Meanwhile it got to -38 in Edmonton earlier this year and not a shit was given
I can't imagine living in a place where it goes <15 c on a regular basis. 30c is the best temperature imo.
-20c In Sweden the day before yesterday. Grow some snowballs.
Canada is Sweden's little brother in cold scale.
