• The Exclusive Gap Between PS4 And Xbox One Has Become A Canyon

As someone who owns both a PS4 Pro and Xbox one S I can say this... PS4 feels like a gaming console (if that makes sense), it usually has better performance and visuals over some Xbox games. Only down side for me was the PS4 Pro did not include a 4k blu-ray player. Xbox one feels like it is trying to be some multi-media device that no one needs it to be. It's trying to do so many different things that it is kinda annoying. Only reason I got it is because of the 4k player. Both are good consoles, but to me the PS4 pro is far superior. I remember once booting up my Xbox 360 and seeing the UI and asking myself what the fuck was Xbox One thinking when they made the UI the way they did. I think it really boils down to preference and what games you want out of it. Sony is really tending to their core, while Microsoft is kinda trying to be utilized by everyone and anyone. Their biggest advantage is having a 4k player built in that is cheap.
You can play 3 through 4 on a 360 if you don't mind 30 fps and a 640p native resolution.
I have never owned a 360 unfortunately, I was a Sony/Nintendo guy. That's why I never moved on to the newer ones, but I suppose I'd be able to pick one up for virtually nothing nowadays. Maybe I'll actually look into getting one, I mean I don't mind playing outdated games as long as they still hold up gameplay-wise, which I'm sure they still do.
the only xbox exclusive I loved was sunset overdrive other than halo of course. even then I just wish sunset overdrive was on pc because that game needs more love
yeah that's nice and all but the PS4 still can't play forza at more than 0 FPS and since gran turismo games always take eons to release, the xbone has the upper hand on that one very specific genre of video games
It feels like the PS4 has made more advancements in general than the Xbox. Just look at the controller! The touchpad, if you've ever used it, is a wonderful tool and can add new options to games played with it.
The only game I've seen in recent times that use it is Let It Die, and it just seemed like a mess.

Why would you get it for xbox then?
Here's a sad image that the OP doesn't seem to talk about, exclusives sales, aka the reason you buy that console.
It's incredibly naive and ignorant in 2017 to imply that the only reason people purchase a console is to play EXCLUSIVE video games. We are decades past the age of the N64, which was only good for playing video games and not much else. I will gladly take my Xbox, which is absolutely fantastic as a media center due to its compatibility with Windows, over the PS4. Because games don't sell the console anymore. [editline]25th February 2017[/editline]
so because xbox live was always overpriced its ok for it to be a paid service? But its unjustified for PS to do it because xbox did it first?
are people internally justifying PS+'s transition from a free service to a paid service now lmfao holy shit

So you're saying I didn't buy my Xbone for the Halo/Gears/Forza games, that I didn't buy a PS4 for Bloodborne, and that I'm not buying a Switch for Nintendo's exclusive IPs? Tell me what I bought those consoles for if it wasn't for their exclusives games.

Exclusive games really only exist to sell a console. Microsoft has surpassed Sony in my eyes by becoming more inclusive to their PC customers. Playing Forza on my pc with my friend on his Xbox was a blast and a testament to how games should become intertwined in the same environment with the technology we have today. I won't be playing any PS4 games until they come to the PC, which is highly unlikely.
are people internally justifying PS+'s transition from a free service to a paid service now lmfao holy shit
I'm not justifying PS+. Not once did I justify it there. I'm not even sure how you could see that as doing so outside of misconstruing my point entirely. I'm saying how is PS+ unjustified, while xbox live is? I'm making a point. its insane, backwards logic. It's like saying "Berizon has been charging users for 'videostreamingsite.com' since the start. Bomcast used to do it free but is now charging for it, but they're the ones in the wrong" There is no reason to justify xbox live and then turn around and go "PS+ isn't in the right for doing exactly the same thing as xbox live"
are people internally justifying PS+'s transition from a free service to a paid service now lmfao holy shit
You mean that thing Xbox Live has been doing since Day 1, and for the longest time locked features like web browsing, accessing Netflix, etc behind a paywall while PS3 and Wii had those for free. The PSN paywall is shit, but don't act like Xbox Live is any better just because they always had it.
Justify Xbox live
Easy. Servers, especially on the scale of gaming the Xbox and Playstation see, are quite expensive. In order to maintain them, they need money.
