The thing I've always loved is that almost all conspiracy theorists say "Hey! The government is faking stuff and doing evil things and trying to make us believe them! Now believe my thing instead, and don't question it because then you're part of the establishment!" It's like they find the concept of being brainwashed by an individual, rather than an entire state government, completely impossible.
Christ, this is both painful and hilarious at the same time for multiple reasons on both accounts.
If you don't get he is in it for the money at this point you need to seek help.
Ha, there is a conspiracy theory ABOUT alex jones too.
So let’s go back to the scoreboard and try to add up our inexact, educated guesstimate into a grand total. On the very low end, we’d estimate a little over $1 million for Web, $215,000 for radio, and $1.5 million for paid subscribers for a not-too-shabby $2.7 million a year. On the high end, if we assume he pulls in the maximum $6 million on Web, another $450,000 on the radio (if his ad rates are at the top of their possible window), and he has 2.5 percent of his website visitors paying to subscribe, then we’re talking about more than $10 million a year. And none of this includes book sales, merch, speaking tours, promotional tie-ins, book and DVD royalties or any other revenue streams that might exist. I have not seen ONE member on facepunch that goes around spouting "Hurr durr, I know the truth, BELIEVE ME". All I see here are people making remarks about doubting the official version and then dumbfucks like Sobotnik show up and spew their typical "You conspiracy nuts are so stupid" bullshit. I, personally, read from different sources and put the puzzle together myself, and I believe that 80% of your so called "conspiracy theorists" do the same. The other 20% are alex jones nuts.
Comments on youtube are something
alex mentions the spying.. and today top story on the bbc is about the goverment spying on us! alex has been saying they are spying on us for years.. he was right. keep up work* alex

David* Aaronovitch is pathetic and spineless.
Conspiracy theorists are already bad enough. If you genuinely think that the government did 9/11, there was a second man who shot JFK, that water fluoridation is dangerous, vaccines are dangerous, or any aliens have been to earth and its covered up, you are one of the following: 1. Insane. 2. A liar.
3. It would certainly make this cell proud. We're part of an organism. That organism is our civilization. Does it even have all the pieces yet to make the leap to that level of intelligence, internal cooperation, and self aim? Even if it did, it's doubtable that it would get all the pieces together properly and actually function in a way that would allow such grand and centralised conspiracies.
what the fuck are you talking about
He is promoting communism in a roundabout philosophical sort of way. Society: Organism Individual: Cell This however leads into a moral debate regarding the importance of an individual. Ultimately, although I agree that in one way or another we are all brought up through our own conditioning, I believe his point of view fails when considering things such as Reason and Emotion. The individual is far more precious than a cell, for a cell is programmed, while an individual has choices.
what the fuck are you talking about
He's either PUI or trying to sound wise and philosophical.

We're colonies of ....supplicant? Organisms that serve a single entity and
Some cultures have called that single entity god and wanted the development of the 'Organism of society' to evolve to represent his characteristics and traits. The concept of a higher, greater good has been around for a long time, it is only recently that we have looking at it atheistic-ally. If we are to think about this further, it would lead back to your hinting at DNA. If the full Raw DNA code is to represent maximum possibility, or the greater good, then us as cells are the same DNA, but we are only partially activated. I would request that for future posts you make sure to edit your points. Some of them I cannot make any sense of. Such as:
Also, think of his you great your cells,
What does that even mean? [editline]10th June 2013[/editline] Also as a further extrapolation of your metaphor, I believe that it does not provide anti-thesis to 'Grand Conspiracies'. The reason is disease. A tumor is a cluster of cells which not only draws upon nutrients required by other cells, but serves no purpose but self purpose. They swallow up resources and muck it up for everyone else. Occasionally this Cancer spreads to other parts of the body where further damage is caused by the same process. The only way to stop this is to eradicate or severely hinder the tumor. The only way such a thing can be accomplished within the working system of an organism is if it comes together, recognizes the problem, and all cells work to remove and destroy the tumor tissue.
My dad believes something wasn't quite up with 9/11, he's a pretty sane guy, just because he has a opinion on something that might be different to yours, it doesn't give you the right to say he's insane and/or a liar. He doesn't 100% believe of course, he just thinks that something might of been up, and even if he did believe it, you're probably just taking this video and think that everyone who does believe these kind of things is like the guy in the video. Of course, he's also not like this twat in the video though :v:
My Dad is a civil engineering professor, specialising in steel structures such as the skeletal framework of skyscrapers. One of the problems he has his students solve is the collapse of the twin towers. Just to prove to them that it was the direct result of the planes crashing into the towers. He did it after a student asked him his views on the conspiracy theory. So, your Dad's theory isn't really based on any evidence or fact, so is just kind of misinformed. And I do believe when they're referring to conspiracy theorists here, they mean the rabid ones who keep believing something is up even when it's been proved to hell and back that it was as it is reported. Such as the moon landings.

The governments and corporations of the world do enough dumb and/or bad shit that we need to be concerned about; we don't need to confuse the issue with made up bollocks on top of it.

(Think of how you treat your cells) Our civilization, as an entity, has no interest in the greater good or the fate/wellbeing of its components. It would be amazing to see a fully realized civilization, but it would also be terrifying beyond belief. So, such grand and longlasting conspiracies, would they exist to help the individual conspirator, the nerve cluster of the conspiracy itself, or the organism as a whole?

The problem with people like Alex Jones is they forget Hanlon's law. Never attribute to malice what can adequately explained by incompetence. [editline]10th June 2013[/editline] That said, he's probably right about some things, since he says so much out there stuff it's inevitable (a stopped clock is right twice a day).

Nobody doesn't even need to attempt any "cover up" operations when you got people like these.
