any of these hundreds of retailers and more
https://www.spendbitcoins.com/places/
Someone want to explain why we're showering this guy with dumbs? There really are tons of places to spend bitcoins online, it's just that SR seems to be the only one anyone knows about. There are even amazon "proxy" sites where you send in an amazon cart, you get billed in bitcoin, pay them, and they ship your stuff directly to your house, for a small markup. I've bought dozens of things this way for months now, all purchased with bitcoins mined while keeping my room warm during winter, and generating about 10x as much value as I spent on electricity.
Is it bad that i've used SR to get magic mushrooms
This isn't even thread worthy.
As long as you purchase from the sellers who have great ratings and reviews (rating of >95), there's not much risk at all.
hacker now is more or less just an umbrella term now.
"Hacker has always been an umbrella term, people just started using it specifically for people who "hack people" by using exploits or whatever.
So much ignorance and misinformation in this thread.
Buying drugs on the internet sounds really fucking sketchy.
REALLY SKETCHY.
It's very popular and there's many peer reviewed credible sellers.
Trick is to buy from legit buyers and buy things you are familiar with so you know when you're duped before you're fucked.
Where will I spend my bitcoins now?
BM?
Why is this being rated winner?
Silk Road was basically ebay of drugs, there wasn't much risk to it provided you just looked into the seller, generally costs more but you can get drugs of good quality/ones which you wouldn't be able to acquire locally.
Wasn't some huge underground terrorist market.

A DDOS wouldn't be really effective if it was routed through the TOR network now would it?
A DDOS wouldn't be really effective if it was routed through the TOR network now would it?
It would just bring down a whole ton of nodes as well.
And be very ineffective. What would probably be the damaging factor is not silk road going down, but the route to get there.

If all the nodes can handle killing eachother.

You can poison HS Dirs in Tor if you throw enough computer power at it.
Edit:
Oh Christ I didn't realise the last post was 3 days ago. My bad sorry guys.
I read from wikipedia that there was a sister site for guns, but it was shut down last year due to "lack of demand".
As if the world just has so much guns that no one needs to buy them.
Or you could be America, where you can anonymously buy a gun from a legit vendor.
Go NRA, go!
I don't care about Silk Road.
Pretty neat figuring out how to view it though.
If you're going to do drugs, you should have your own dealer.
I red an article last year about some idiot that bought insulin on Silk Road. He started using it and woke up in the middle of the night with extreme blood sugar levels (like 250-300) and nearly died. He examined the "insulin", and it turned out to be saline water or something worse.
Insulin would give you a low blood sugar
Insulin would give you a low blood sugar
He had diabetes or something, and the insulin was fake, so his blood sugar went up too high.

We need bad reading rating back.
