I wonder if it's cool and hip to be homosexual nowadays? But i doubt this news about her saying she's homosexual might be true. Would be better if she was bisexual.
how are you people actually this ignorant and not dead from your own drunken stir?
I wonder if it's cool and hip to be homosexual nowadays? But i doubt this news about her saying she's homosexual might be true. Would be better if she was bisexual.
That kind of thinking is how we got that dumb fedora tipping meme.
This is just attention whoring.
she's using fewer words to say she's gay than you are to complain about it, so what does that say about you
I wonder if it's cool and hip to be homosexual nowadays? But i doubt this news about her saying she's homosexual might be true. Would be better if she was bisexual.
Yeah, I joined the "homosexual fad" because it's cool. It's really cool to feel like shit when I'm discriminated against for being attracted to the same gender. I feel really cool when I hear people talk about wanting to beat the shit out of homosexuals, purely because they're homosexuals. What's really cool about being gay is when I get told I can't marry someone I love because they're the same gender as me. Constantly having my rights infringed upon is fucking cool, man!
Written in code I have a script that lets me know when posts on FP attain more than 50 'dumbs' within a certain time frame. Usually I just look at posts, laugh, and move on, but jesus fucking christ, I think I popped a blood vessel reading your bigoted post.
It wasn't bigoted, it was just ignorant as to what homosexuality means. I don't see any particular hatred or anything in their post.

Well this came out of left field for me. I mean, I don't really keep myself up-to-date on any Ellen Page-related things, but still.
Why are all the ugly girls straight and all the hot girls like Ellen Page lesbian?
Facepunch's new mission is clear: Convert her to heterosexual so you can have your fantasies without doubt as to their realism!
Wrong language. "Homo" in Latin means "man", while "homo" in Greek means "same". "Homosexual" is Greek.

woah

you henced wrongly m8

homosexual means attraction to the same sex (homo means 'same' in this context) heterosexual means attraction to the opposite sex (hetero means 'other' in this context)

this is the best post ive ever seen

not to mention homo in latin just means human

no it means same, as in homophone. whereas homo sapien is latin, homo in this context is used in the greek sense of sameness.

man i remember middle school.

What is this guy even doing

Uh 'homo' means same, implying attraction to the same sex in the context of homosexual, so no, it really doesn't... seriously

pffffthahaha

No. Fucking do your research
Holy shit, Facepunch, I think he gets it.
Doesn't homosexual mean sexually attracted to man? Hence "Homo" and "Sexual"
You're doing it wrong. [editline]15th February 2014[/editline]
Holy shit, Facepunch, I think he gets it.
...Shit.
I'm not sure how, but I've always kind of knew she was gay.
Holy shit, Facepunch, I think he gets it.
not until we physically brand it onto the back of his hand "UR FUKIN DUM" will he get it.
I look forward to the day when things like this aren't newsworthy. What I mean is, when homosexuality isn't something that's seen as wrong or "different" and people feel the need to make a huge deal out of someone who's gay. I'm not saying this is a bad thing. Good for her for publicly coming out and everything.
not until we physically brand it onto the back of his hand "UR FUKIN DUM" will he get it.
And buy him a title.
oh great now she'll never have sex with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good for her. This thread has already said what I need to say positively on that mark. It's honestly interesting to realize why LGBT celebrities come out so late(?) into their career. Makes you wonder how a celebrity's career would've gone if they were open about it before they became famous.
Doesn't homosexual mean sexually attracted to man? Hence "Homo" and "Sexual"
"Homo" means "same", and "sexual" means. . . well, sexual.
Good for her, I never thought she would be gay
David Cage must be really disappointed.
David Cage must be really disappointed.
Except there wasn't any sex in that game was there?
Why do celebrities.. and there for... anyone, need to "come out" publicly? I thought the LGBT wanted to be treated as equals to everyone else? I personally have a friend who i know is homosexual but he only tells people he trusts and such. Me and him have had this conversations before about this and we both agree that making your sexuality, whatever it is, a big deal by announcing it just ruins the point of equality. She should have just wnt about her own buisness instead of trying to draw attention to herself and to her "cause". Yes, LGBT equality is something worth fighting for, but this just isnt an effective way, at all in doing it. This is just attention whoring. Thats my opinion though. If this somehow does help, then im okay I guess, but i just know it doesnt. Meh, maybe im just upset because its valentines day and im not thinking my argument clearly through, but i do have a point I feel like. Maybe :(
Guys it's okay to be gay just don't publicly point it out. And ESPECIALLY don't use your position of celebrity or authority as an inspiration or a voice for this generally discriminated and stigmatized minority. If someone ever points out that "Well I'm actually not straight" wellll shiiiiiit batten down the hatches because we have some ATTENTION WHORES flaunting their SEXUALITY IN MY FACE. This isn't equality, this is special attention! It would clearly be better if every homo just kept to themselves and didn't identify as a homo and kept their homo identity and their homo lifestyle to their homo self. I only like my celebrities and people to be typical sexual maniacs causing heterosexual drama that doesn't interfere with my worldview. /s
I hope that some day a celebrity coming out as gay or whatever winds up being a totally unremarkable event that gets absolutely no media coverage.
I hope that some day a celebrity coming out as gay or whatever winds up being a totally unremarkable event that gets absolutely no media coverage.
that'll never happen, even if we lived in a world where being gay was perfectly accepted, people are still obsessed with who celebrities are fucking
To clarify: I hope we get to the point where it becomes so standard and normal and commonplace that it becomes totally irrelevant, that it no longer becomes a struggle. I want it to get to the point where nobody cares. Because that's the way it should be. Because I know that somebody is gonna take that the wrong way.
Doesn't homosexual mean sexually attracted to man? Hence "Homo" and "Sexual"
this was so dumb i laughed; someone should make this his title
