she isn't that attractive, imo. Pack load of make up on. I don't see why heterosexual fanboys should be crying there are far better looking women celebrities out there

What you find attractive isnt necessarily what everyone else finds attractive :v:
Is it just me who thinks this or is making big news about someone's sexuality just a bit tabloid-y? I can understand if it's someone from, for example, some kind of sports background coming out where being gay is not very accepted, that way it's sort of more 'groundbreaking' and notable
Yeah it's definitely very tabloid-y but we all need some petty, useless news in our lives to counteract all the terrible shit our own kind is committing. I like to end my day with some really dumb gossip rather than the thought of someone getting brutally murdered somewhere in my own country right now. This doesn't really surprise me, I always had a feeling she was bi or lesbian. Either way good for her on coming out
Why do celebrities.. and there for... anyone, need to "come out" publicly? I thought the LGBT wanted to be treated as equals to everyone else? I personally have a friend who i know is homosexual but he only tells people he trusts and such. Me and him have had this conversations before about this and we both agree that making your sexuality, whatever it is, a big deal by announcing it just ruins the point of equality. She should have just wnt about her own buisness instead of trying to draw attention to herself and to her "cause". Yes, LGBT equality is something worth fighting for, but this just isnt an effective way, at all in doing it. This is just attention whoring. Thats my opinion though. If this somehow does help, then im okay I guess, but i just know it doesnt. Meh, maybe im just upset because its valentines day and im not thinking my argument clearly through, but i do have a point I feel like. Maybe :(
We - the majority of the LGBT community - have to 'come out of the closet,' because we live in a society where people will assume you're heterosexual unless you tell them differently, and it is easier to make our homosexuality known to everyone at once than to tell people one-by-one as it becomes necessary for them to know. I agree that there are plenty of people who make a big deal out of being gay when they shouldn't, but there are also many people who underestimate the importance of sexuality and the effect that homosexuality has on a person's life.
