I don't think you guys realize how bad it would be to go back in there right now. Bullet holes everywhere, blood on the floor, walls etc, it would be a nightmare for kids to go back in the school. I live next to Newtown and I could see bullet holes through the walls. It would be so much more difficult to repair everything inside than to tear it down and rebuild it with a strategic structure meaning weirdly designed floor plans which make it harder for an assailant to find students.
Are you trying to imply that nobody in 5 months, nobody has cleaned up the crime scene? Even worse, implying that they'll just send people back without cleaning anything up? And your solution is to make a new building that's easy to get lost in, and this building is an elementary school full of kids who are notorious for getting lost easily.
http://www.oxiclean.com/ Much cheaper than an entirely new school.
You can't dump a bunch of OxiClean all over bullet holes and say "problem solved!".
or they could just shuffle what subjects are studied in what class rooms, re-arrange the funiture and give the building a new colour-scheme. bosh.
Just send them back, they'll be chiseled out of diamond when they finish
They already moved them to another school in the area that was closed down. What they should do is either refurbish that school or refurbish sandy hook. The school board does not have the money (like every other school district in the country) to just simply tear down a perfectly fine building just because some people are upset something happened there. Renaming it to something like sandy hook memorial elementary would probably be the most extensive thing and something like a memorial garden nearby and that should be the end of it.
Nobody is going to want their kids going to school there anyway. This doesn't really surprise me.
Yes, let's just pretend this never happened and act like we're moving on. "make da scary thing go away mommy...please?"
