Poor Japanese can't seem to catch a break from nature.
I hope this doesn't destabilize Mt. Fuji.
Yeah, In a couple weeks I'll be living literally at the base of the volcano for the next six months to a year. That'd be just my luck if that thing erupted while I was there. Been extinct since 1707 and decides to explode when I get there.
Poor Japanese can't seem to catch a break from nature.
Japan is situated in a geological hot zone, and also has the good fortune to be situated in the NW pacific. They get bombarded with Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Typhoons and volcanic activity constantly because of this. The Philippines, Taiwan and a lot of South China's cost also get fucked pretty hard too. Especially the Philippines.
30 hikers have been found dead http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-29399306
It wont
There have been quite a few seismological surveys of Fuji over that last couple of years all concluding that it is ready to erupt. This kind of event is enough to aggravate it.
Man, Japan is never gonna catch a break. I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for them, or fear them knowing that they will soon be fed up with it and create devices to control the forces of nature and bend the Earth to their whim. I mean imagine the day when they control clouds, then they'll draw their waifu in the skies of every country. Nobody will be safe from the dreaded Hanako!
Was there some way to predict the eruption? Or was this one of those situations where there weren't any ways to predict it? [editline]20140928-165810[/editline] Nevermind, just saw an article explaining how it's hard to predict since what causes the eruption is very quick.
I hope volcano party starts now.
God dammit Japan

i hope this means we'll get a re-release of 2011 earthquake items for tf2
Why not build underground? A geofront would be cool to see.
Why not build underground? A geofront would be cool to see.
Enter the cavequake, which you can't do anything about. Possibly if you built in an area relatively free of earthquakes, but there will always be a risk.
Why not build underground? A geofront would be cool to see.
Easier to get trapped underground if shit collapses than in an above-ground building. Would indeed be cool, though.
I like how the first solution to avoid volcanoes we thought of was to put cities miles into the sky
I say nuke and/or otherwise bomb the living shit out of Earth's surface, volcanoes and other landmarks alike creating a barren desert. And then build underground cities. Literally all problems solved ever.
