This is extremely horrible and I could definitely see the GOP doing this. Is there a better source though?
Well, the victim could be unconscious or too young to know better.
their still not consenting, so you are FORC(e)ing it on them
So long as any woman can have any man she wants charged with a felony, labeled a sex offender and sent to prison with nothing but a tearful testimony, I'm fine with this.
thats the thing about sex
it will most likely always be like that. then again only assholes would do that
then again only assholes would do that
then again the majority of americans are assholes
I hate (besides the disgusting nature of this bill) how the new Republican house just decides single issues to make a priority, ignoring the legimately pressing ones. They did this last month with extending the horribly inappropriate Bush Tax Cuts, and now here they are again with trying to make it easier to get away with traumatizing and abusing another human being. It's going to be a long, painful 2 years.
How about a real source?
And why aren't you guys asking for a source, as well? Or is one not needed to bash conservatives?

The article contains links to all the required sources. You're just asking for a different source because you refuse to believe what the article says.

you're a dunce, jim
They were elected for economic reasons and right away they concentrate on socially conservative legislation, awesome. AWESOME.
Ok, now I've just lost all faith in the US government.
:siren:THIS JUST IN:
THE GOP DEMAND THE REMOVAL OF THE OFFENSE OF RAPE, BECAUSE "THE GIRL IS PROBABLY ENJOYING IT AT SOME POINT":siren:
They're doing this to make abortions harder to get.
Glad to see the GOP can add misogyny to their repertoire
no they're trying to save money
holy fuck look out our deficit
Hurray for religiously motivated politics. When is the American people (the non-delusional side) going to decide they won't put up with this shit any longer?
They can't. It's majority rule and they're the minority.
What the nonloving fuck.
This is disgusting.
What the fuck is with the Republicans and comprimise!?
"Okay, we'll compromise with you."
later:
"The democrats aren't compromising with us! We're trying, but they're not doing it! Compromise with us to this degree now!"
Democrats: "okay"
I bet their next action will be "Don't fund abortions for women if it's dangerous to the woman unless if the baby is a xenomorph."
no they're trying to save money

And obviously the one of the best ways to raise money for the economy is by cutting funding for rape abortions.
Not cutting defense. (But there's a guy in Iraq with an AK47! Better build some more predator drones and bomb the fuck out of Iran)
Not revamping socialized medicine and insurance. (SOCIALISM! :godwin:)
And definitely not raising taxes. (Governments don't need taxes to run! And raising taxes for the richest people harms the economy! Just ask John Q. Moneybags!)
But cutting funding to abortions in cases of statutory, drugged, blackmailed, etc. rape.
Obviously.

And this is what pisses me off the most. They went in on the platform of economic reform and they pull this bullshit? I still can't see why these people get voted into office again and again.
Well a coathanger is cheaper anyway
Sooooooo... If you use chloroform you don't have to use force, making it something else than rape?
Awesome.
This is almost as bad as when texas made it illegal to adopt if your not married just show gays cant adopt. They dont care who they are hurting as long as the people they dont like get hurt in the process.

Every Tea Party rally is made up of mostly fundies and has something about abortion in it, it's not that hard to see through their facade, I'm not sure why the media refused to.
they may as well make child porn legal while they're at it, seeing as the kids aren't physically forced into it
They're doing this to make abortions harder to get.

Glad to see the GOP admit they hate women (and people under 50, gays, atheists, Muslims, intellectuals and everyone who thinks science is a cool guy).
Can we get some republicans in here to defend this incredible level of bullshit? I want to see what you guys have to say about your glorious leaders now.
no they're trying to save money

This is the wrong thing to cut if you want to reduce the deficit significantly.
If the republicans ever succeed in outlawing abortion invest in wire coat hanger manufacturing.
Are these assholes closeted rape victims along with being gay?
That just explains everything.

You are everything that is wrong with this country. Just because someone labels themselves a group doesn't mean that what they are doing is what every single person wants, or what anyone wants for that matter.

They're representing the people that put them up there in the first place.
And I cannot see any interest groups that would have pushed for this.

Yeah, you have a plethora of candidates that wanted to run up against the incumbents in the House and Senate.
What did you do? Pick the same retard for the past decade.
