What's a gurkha?
Sort of like a sweeter Pickleh.
I'm glad the Ghurkas fight for the British Army. I would not want to be their enemy.
...and they have the whole draw your weapon draw blood code of honour thing.
Thats a load of old shit, i work with Gurkhas all the time at a M.o.D compound, its just folk lore...

Kukris are used for loads of things. Hell, you can actually cut firewood with them, if you wanted to try. I live near Folkestone, where a large number of Gurkhas live. You see them pegging it down the beach as "light exercise". Fucking badasses.

Bump:
LONDON, ENGLAND - In this handout image supplied by the MoD Crown Copyright, Sergeant Dip Prasad Pun from an area in Western Nepal called Bima Village in the Myagdi District but who currently lives in Ashford in Kent serves with the 1st Battalion the Royal Gurkha Rifles. He has been awarded the CGC - Conspicuous Gallantry Cross - for single-handedly fighting off 12 insurgent fighters during his deployment to Afghanistan, at the National Army Museum on March 22, 2011 in London, England. They are pretty nice guys. [editline]28th March 2011[/editline]
I'm glad the Ghurkas fight for the British Army. I would not want to be their enemy.
They were once. Thats how they came to serve with us, we had a war with them, neither side won and then they decided to join us.
Badass. Lolwut at the ratings.
British seems to be better prepared for close combat encounters. Or perhaps they are taught to use whatever you have to defend yourself. Or all that is imaginary and US troops are just not as good news.
It's just that the British Army Doctrine is rather aggressive, and especially that of Gurkha regiments. Maybe its a throwback from expecting to fight waves of Soviets in built up areas. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8252974.stm Fixing bayonets is pretty standard practice.
Gurkhas are the fucking shit. My granddad got stabbed by one before because he had a team of Gurkha body guard, and they have the whole draw your weapon draw blood code of honour thing, but it was a false alarm, so they stabbed him.
So what happens when they clean them?
So what happens when they clean them?
It doesn't happen, its Folklore.
