The best UK cars are the BMW ones, they look pretty damn cool
Looks just like my hometown's chargers
Yea my guess would be that they were from New York, which is why they would be so iconic. Even still when I lived in New York I saw white and blue ones, but I was in Rochester.
Oh man that comparison makes the UK car really look like a silly clown car.
Not all of UK police cars look like that.
East Sussex Police use Fords and BMW's as well as a lotus elise iirc for high speed pursuit
All these american police cars are barely noticeable at all. At least in the UK you can throw your joint in the ditch in time.
It looks pretty close to what my town has

They used to drive Subaru Imprezas around but it was changed in 2011.
I always think it's interesting how there's the "typical" American police car even though police cars here can look entirely different on a local, county, city, and state level.
I don't think I've ever seen a split black and white police car in person in the states. Even the FBI are white with a blue & black stripe, and DC has white with an American flag decal.
Historically the Black and White colour scheme was popular all over the country, the contrasting colours made the vehicles easily recognizable. The LAPD and CHP have still the design, so it still appears frequently in Hollywood media. Though there is no standardisation, "Black and White" is what most people think of when they think of an American Police Car.

That's because they're built for patrolling and casual driving, there are special cars reserved for police pursuits. On the contrary, in America nearly all police cars used for patrol are built to pursuit specs (powerful engine, stronger frame, bull bar).
Doesn't really look like a UK police car.
looks like a US police car
looks like a US police car
not really, its missing a lot of the practical things like bars and spotlights, while having tons of impractical things like the raised suspension, the over-the-top graphics, and weird wheels

It's not a proper night out in Belfast unless you see one of these getting bricks thrown at it.

There's been numerous amounts of occasions where they've followed me and everytime I look in the rear-view mirror, I can see both officers talking while looking at me, either deciding if they want to be funny cunts and pull me over to random breath test me or whatever else police fucking talk about
Indeed. It may be Right Hand Drive but wtf is with the 911 on the side?
It's commonly called a panda car, 99% of the time the panda cars have to abide by the road laws and as such can't pursuit anything (though they can follow at their own speed). The only exception to that law is when an officer specially trained in advanced driving is at the wheel of said vehicle in which case it can be used for everything. It's essentially took over the role of the 'bobby on the beat' what with it covering more ground and being safer for the officer's inside.
Where is the bullbar? How do you ram criminals off the road?
Joking aside, UK police are trained to PIT vehicles but require authorization from the pursuit controller in order to initiate contact. It's rarely given on the grounds that it's too dangerous for innocents, the criminal and the cops. The car is being driven by a 'TWOCER' (a x year old chav who's taken his nans ford KA for a spin round the block) or, and mostly because It costs money to fix all the damage and shit afterwards, which the taxpayer gets fucked off about it.
For a car to be forcefully taken of the road the occupants generally have to be a serious threat to the well being of others, which ironically isn't driving like a reckless fucking moron but rather having a firearm on board.
A lot of 'red tape' involved you see, and no one likes paperwork. So cops keep up the chase till the criminal ditches the vehicle and tries to get away on foot instead. At which point a Dog Unit normally get's to have some lunch.
I remember everyone being fine when this dude got fucked for having a US police car a while ago, why is this one OK and the other one wasn't?
The guy was arrested for "Impersonating a police officer" even though he wasn't in a uniform or claiming to be a LEO.

He was driving around a real police car, not a promotional car made for a video game that happens to look like a police car.

Fucking Canadian police state.
What are these anyway? You'd figure it's just utility but I've seen them parked at radar spots on the highways

Like, try, try and catch me in a fucking utility van

Did you even read the link you posted? That car was ok and he was released without charge
Clever that she swapped out the cover plates for blue ones. Technically legal.

They probably have a couple of cars up the road to catch people, often off the highway for safety's sake.
Or they could just be running plate numbers.
