Here we go again: 7.3 Magnitude Earthquake off Japan, Tsunami Warning for Fukushima

I'm sure everything will be fine, it's not nearly as bad as the one in 2011. I was part of the US Humanitarian mission in 2011, I was a first responder and spent 2 weeks off the coast pulling bodies out of the water so I hope damage is minimal.
Some photos we took:

That's not a siren.
That's a fucking drug trip.
Don't act surprised that Japan is getting hit with more Earthquakes. Japan is above a subduction zone meaning that beneath them, the crust is moving beneath another piece of crust. That crust is going into the mantle and being crushed by intense pressure so it frequently cracks resulting in Earthquakes. By the time Japan stops experiencing, humanity and any other species that have succeeded us could have gone through apocalypses and recovered from them as if they've never happened over and over again.

Sounds like an interlude in a Pink Floyd song.
Sweet Jesus christ this is unnerving. This may be leading up to a huge one
seems like they downgraded to tsunami advisory, a 1.4m wave hit one of the coasts in Sendai(?) but it seems calmer

I like how a 5.4 is classified as strong
In this country almost nobody gives a fuck unless its a 7+
Tsunami warning downgraded to tsunami caution
Cooling restored to spent fuel pools
shows over, everyone go home

Or it may not be - it's hard to tell.
Interestingly, earthquake activity seems to be linked to and aggravated by though obviously not caused by sunspot activity and solar electromagnetic radiation.
Source: Actually, I'm too lazy. No sources.

Makes sense, got a lot of magnetically charged particles hitting the earth, it's bound to push or pull on the techtonic plates a little bit. I mean our moon literally controls the tides on this earth, it's possible
Just in time for my study abroad trip to Japan, too. Got an email from my professor who's currently in Tokyo basically telling us not to panic since it's further north than we'll be.
