I think you guys are misinterpreting Zeke's point and running this thread into the ground as a result.

Step one to not being awkward while approaching "females": Stop using female as a noun
Why would he put females in quotation marks if he isn´t arguing that using the word female as noun is awkward? He espiecially says that we should stop using female as a noun entirely. It is very obvious that he means that the word female is objectifying to women, and therefore mankind should stop using it.
Jesus fucking Christ. I can't believe this actually a thing. When you're talking about women in a broader sense - with no age distinction (especially in this formal discussion) you use females because it doesn't discriminate their age. Formally, "girl" tends to be reserved for much younger women, though you can use it socially irl regardless of the girl's age because you usually always speak informally at a social-level. But in any academic discussion (FP really isn't, but it's close enough) you don't use the informal vernacular but use the accurate female terminology instead because you're referring to women regardless of age. People use females as often as they use males. It's not an attempt to dehumanize them. I still think it's weird when someone says 'female' social-causally in real life but the dude is probably just trying to sound smart/really formal as opposed to being a misogynist bent on objectifying women.
did you not read the posts that people made explaining what zeke might have meant or are you just going to hop on the straw wagon to the straw factory to mass-produce strawmen like everyone else?
Why would he put females in quotation marks if he isn´t arguing that using the word female as noun is awkward?
The way he worded his post makes me think it's awkward "while approaching" females.
He espiecially says that we should stop using female as a noun entirely. You have to be pretty imaginative to pick up on that subtext.
If you hit the guy who just harassed your girlfriend or talked shit about friends, family etc. , which is considered a manly move, most people will stare at you and your girlfriend will most probably say to you that you are "embarrassing" her.
Remember guys, being manly means being sensitive and acting aggressive when your feelings are hurt. Shit what the fuck happened to brushing it off.
Society and social expectations are a bitch, huh. Thanks, media.

And this is the general crux of why the using the word is percieved to be so bad, it's not just Zeke himself declaring it to be bad, SJWs have been long against the use of 'females' in all contexts since using it apparently makes you seem robotic (see image above) or some shit when using it. For the opponents of it's usage, the only acceptable time to employ the word is in academic/scientific literature.
I know exactly what he means, I've spoken to him on this prior. For the opponents of it's usage, the only acceptable time to employ the word is in academic/scientific literature.
who are these SJWs and why are you speaking for them? personally i think it's impolite from a social standpoint to refer to someone by sex, because in day to day life we associate people by their gender and personal identity, not their chromosomes.

If he says it like that, and all the people are "misunderstanding" him, then maybe he is at fault for writing it like that. But as long as he isn´t replying I will take it as he wrote it.

This is all bullshit here is how you do it proper

Which is a formal statement, it would be inaccurate to say women because it is primarily regarding teenagers and young adults, but you also can't say girls because the issue extends into adult life too. Females is an entirely appropriate word as it encompasses girls and women regardless of age.
Step one to not being awkward while approaching "females": Stop using female as a noun
step one to making a bad post. be zeke129
You people will find any excuse for complaining about misogyny, won't you? By extension (as a fighter for equal rights) you oppose usage of "male" noun too right?
You people will find any excuse for complaining about misogyny, won't you? By extension (as a fighter for equal rights) you oppose usage of "male" noun too right?
I like to use pig instead of male.
I like to use pig instead of male.
As long as you are calling females cows that is okay in my book. All for equality.
Step one to not being awkward while approaching "females": Stop using female as a noun
I've seen you and your buddies tear people new ones on both ends of the spectrum, one for using the term female when discussing social and gender issues you deride them for being "autists" or virgin neckbeards (and its already been made clear you're a virgin, so this is ironic), on the other end someone uses the term "girls" and you deride them for not respecting women's status as adults or some shit. I really don't think you're in a position to comment, and I've seen your face as well as your supposed suicide attempt many years ago, dollars to donuts you're an awkward and damn near paralytic when you have to engage anyone outside of your family. (User was permabanned for this post ("Off-topic flaming, blew his last chance six months ago" - MaxOfS2D))
I'll never understand why this places gets so bent out of shape over this topic. Am I supposed to feel bad that I was born as a male or something?
Am I supposed to feel bad that I was born as a male or something?
Yeah. Or at least you should feel bad for what other men do like rape and domestic violence.
I'll never understand why this places gets so bent out of shape over this topic. Am I supposed to feel bad that I was born as a male or something?
No.
Did you really have to call him out on his shyness and his suicide attempt? For fucks sake
Yeah I did. He spends a lot of his posts calling other people virgins, autists or neckbeards or implying they are socially awkward and I cannot bear the irony. I'll feel bad when its someone besides the usual suspects telling me I'm a scumbag.

zeke's calling people autistic on the internet time to "call him out" on his suicide attempt for a sick zinger, this is what rational and decent people do for sure
I think you guys are misinterpreting Zeke's point and running this thread into the ground as a result. He didn't say that you shouldn't use the word female ever, or that it has any sexist or misogynistic meaning, but that when "approaching a female" you shouldn't actually use the word female because it's weirdly formal. It goes both ways too. Ask a female friend if she is seeing anyone currently. She probably isn't going to say "I haven't been with any males in awhile" or "Oh yeah I'm currently seeing this male named Jack".
holy shit someone who isn't just constantly kneejerking The article mentioned being awkward when approaching women. If you use "females" in casual social situations, you're being awkward as fuck. I said absolutely nothing about objectifying women, misogyny, or anything of the sort. So many idiots here
I'll never understand why this places gets so bent out of shape over this topic. Am I supposed to feel bad that I was born as a male or something?
You should understand that no matter how nice you are, a white male is always going be a white male, meaning ultimately, unavoidably an oppressor of women. You should take responsibility of the white male hivemind and feel bad for all the horrible shit your kind has done to women over the years. Also the fact that your kind has done so much horrible shit to women justifies mistreatment of your kind. Moreover it's not even sexism or discrimination if it's done to your kind, because it's not institutionalized or something. Just summed up the logic these people use for you. Of course they will disagree, just to say the same exact shit few posts later.
