Are you defending an American president when your avatar is a British flag gif?
(the UK also isn't a continent)
Guys, Hoover was the shittiest fucking president of all time. The amount of times he failed miserably almost makes me feel bad for him. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbert_Hoover Seriously, his presidential timeline is just a list of ways he fucked up the United States.
It's funny how most people here in 2008 were like "Oh man I want fuckin Obama fuck the old shit and the dumb bitch" and two years later it's "man fuck obama stupid idiot he ain't doin NOTHIN"
;24027220']He has put the country trillions more in debt, failed to fix the economy, failed in Iraq and Afghanistan, failed to complete his other promises. .
While I do agree with your other statements. Saying that he failed completely is equivalent to me taking your test before the time limit, and giving you an F even though you're halfway through with it.
;24027220']He has put the country trillions more in debt, failed to fix the economy, failed in Iraq and Afghanistan, failed to close Guantanamo Bay, and failed to complete his other promises. Yet somehow he has got a Nobel Peace Prize. The president seems to have the idea that if you through money at something it will fix itself.
lol what Do you really expect Obama to fix america's debt? America has been in debt for decades now and you really expect Obama to fix those decades of debt build up in 1.5 years? And fyi it's a little bit more difficult to pull the troops out of Iraq than just going "lol bring em all home right now" If you look at the statistics, most of the promises he's made are currently either in progress or have been completed already, there's only a handful he failed at but what president is gonna be perfect.
ronald reagan was 400x worse than obama could ever be
Jimmy Carter was 1000x worse than Ronald Reagan could ever be.
it's a joke
no it's not [editline]09:21PM[/editline]
Jimmy Carter was 1000x worse than Ronald Reagan could ever be.
so
Because its not fair to judge a president based soley because he hasn't fixed the problems of the previous president. That goes for Reagan and Obama, they both had shitty presidents before them.
no it's not
:smug:
Because its not fair to judge a president based soley because he hasn't fixed the problems of the previous president.
Jimmy Carter was 1000x worse than Ronald Reagan could ever be.
No Jimmy Carter was bad because he did nothing. Ronald Reagan was worse because he did a lot really badly.
Jimmy Carter was bad because he increased inflation and unemployment. Reagan was good because he lowered them. "During Jimmy Carter's last year in office (1980), inflation averaged 12.5%, compared to 4.4% during Reagan's last year in office (1988).[102] Over those eight years, the unemployment rate declined from 7.5% to 5.3%" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronald_reagan [editline]12:33AM[/editline]
except reagan created problems and didn't fix any problems he: created most of today's deficit massively upped taxes until it was reduced by clinton unarguably created the moral right movement was a dick to lower-class citizens
He didn't create the deficit. Bush did. It is both Clinton and Bush's fault that they didn't regulate the banks. [editline]12:34AM[/editline]
except reagan created problems and didn't fix any problems he: created most of today's deficit massively upped taxes until it was reduced by clinton unarguably created the moral right movement was a dick to lower-class citizens
And by the way, he actually lowered taxes.
I honestly don't think I've seen any direct negative impact from any of his economy / social plans and at least some good news from the war front.
But we can all agree that Reagan was a good actor.
Obama isn't the problem, it's all the dumbfuck republicans in congress voting all his bills down so he looks bad.
The Democrats have a vast majority over Congress. If they are having trouble passing laws, its because some Dems dont like it.
But we can all agree that Reagan was a good actor.
A good shill too, especially during his presidency.
I honestly don't think I've seen any direct negative impact from any of his economy / social plans and at least some good news from the war front.
Except for the private companies shedding employees left and right because they cant afford to pay for their healthcare that is now legally required, and energy companies doing the same in anticipation of the cap and trade bill.... [editline]10:40PM[/editline]
A good shill too, especially during his presidency.
Obama is workin on it... http://content.usatoday.com/communities/driveon/post/2010/07/president-obama-drives-chevy-volt-and-touts-job-gains/1
President Obama went on a short Chevy Volt test drive while visiting General Motors' Hamtramck, Mich., plant where the Volt will be manufactured. "Pretty smooth," he said after getting out.

Except for the private companies shedding employees left and right because they cant afford to pay for their healthcare that is now legally required, and energy companies doing the same in anticipation of the cap and trade bill....
Can we get some sources backing up those claims? Companies dropping tons of jobs because of such things seems a bit questionable.
Except for the private companies shedding employees left and right because they cant afford to pay for their healthcare that is now legally required, and energy companies doing the same in anticipation of the cap and trade bill....
Both of those are the fault of corporate greed if they're true.
And by the way, he actually lowered taxes.
uh, what? he raised taxes SEVERAL times
;24027541']Nixon was not bad.
"war on drugs" watergate, racism etc. i could go on.
Except for the private companies shedding employees left and right because they cant afford to pay for their healthcare that is now legally required, and energy companies doing the same in anticipation of the cap and trade bill....
Considering that the law has not been implemented and that the new jobless claims have been slowing I'd say you're so full of shit that it's bursting out your ears.
All of this has made me laugh. He sounded pretty ignorant saying those things. Obama is not that bad
Can we get some sources backing up those claims? And that's one company saying "it could", not it will. The rest of the article just has to do with higher costs for the employees, not them losing jobs. Also:
Businesses around the country are making the same calculations as Verizon and no doubt sending out similar messages. It's only a small measure of the destruction that will be churned out by the rewrite of health, tax, labor and welfare laws that is ObamaCare, and only the vanguard of much worse to come.
Come on.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703312504575141642402986422.html?mod=WSJ_hpp_sections_opinion
"obamacare" lol and that's an opinion article
Caterpillar said it would cost the company at least $100 million more in the first year alone.
Caterpillar's net income in 2009 was $895 million I support taking 10% of the income from a company that large and using it to help their employees
He didn't create the deficit. Bush did. It is both Clinton and Bush's fault that they didn't regulate the banks. [editline]12:34AM[/editline] And by the way, he actually lowered taxes.
both are nope http://www.truthandpolitics.org/top-rates.php clinton reduced the debt excuse me
For a bunch of old fucks, the GOPs leaders seem to forget the past half-a-century. Nixon was a corrupt power monger, their God Reagan was a debt-increasing madman, and then Bush and son were just plain mediocre then terrible respectively. The post Civil War presidents were massive failures, they sold out to corporate monopolies and essentially enslaved the working class while equally protesting socialism at the same time. So in the grand scheme of things I'd say a president who has at the very worst been somewhat inactive is not the worst we can come up with.
Uh Obama isn't really that bad of a president it's like everyone expects so much out of him even though he's doing everything he can. He doesn't have infinite power over the country.
