He barely got us through the great depression and created Japanese concentration camps.
I would like to see how other presidents could have managed. Hoover didn't do shit and just slapped up charities he seldom did anything during the growing crisis. Not to mention on how he deployed troops to subdue a group of veterans.
Order 9066 may have been one of the worst things FDR could have done, but any other person in such situation would have done a similar if not worse.
I'm talking about Clinton.

Lets see, did Bush create concentration camps for Muslims after 9/11?
By the way, the New Deal didn't do shit.
The only reason we got out of the depression is because when WW2 started, millions of factory and military jobs jump started the economy like a motherfucker.
They were internment camps, not concentration camps. What was done to the Japanese-American population was reprehensible, yes, but calling them that is misleading and makes it sound like we were killing them and working them to death rather than just imprisoning them.
EDIT:
A concentration camp is a prison camp used to confine persons considered dangerous by a government or military ruler.[5] They have been used in times of war to detain, punish, or, as in Nazi Germany, kill large numbers of people.[5] The Random House Dictionary defines the term as: "a guarded compound for the detention or imprisonment of aliens, members of ethnic minorities, political opponents, etc.", and, the American Heritage Dictionary defines it as: "A camp where civilians, enemy aliens, political prisoners, and sometimes prisoners of war are detained and confined, typically under harsh conditions." Ok, by the strict definition of concentration camp, they were but people don't think prison camps when they hear that, they think labor and death camps.
i'm pretty sure you just hate FDR because he's a democrat
if he was a republican you'd be thumping him around on a lapel next to ronald reagan

A 60 year difference and a change in morals after the War. Not to mention on how Bush just detained 'suspected terrorists' in a place called Guantanamo with torture methods employed.
Roosevelt's New Deal created organizations that put millions of Americans into work even before the war. CCC, FDA, a few others helped construct a bunch of shit which kept Americans employed. Not to mention he regulated banks from then on to prevent Americans into throwing their money into a black hole.

guantanamo bay, secret prisons, etc. where torture was allowed

They weren't death camps. They were concentration camps, where, you know, we concentrated the Japanese population of California to camps.
How are you not banned JDK? You just make assumptions and shit post all over the place. You don't even capitalize your words.
"hi im jdk and because uberman disagrees with the left he must be a republican with a persecution complex"

But only to war criminals and other terrorists. They were prisons, not concentration camps.

Didn't read your edit.

Have you even read his posts? He doesn't bring any logical arguments against me, and says I have a persecution complex, where I have none. I am not advocating any party or ideology, I'm disagreeing with people.
Just because I disagree with your side doesn't mean I agree with the other side.
"hi im jdk and because uberman disagrees with the left he must be a republican with a persecution complex"
seriously, do you have short term memory?
a few days ago, in ONE thread alone you posted like 8 different times with a persecution complex
You can't seriously say you took those posts seriously.
You can't seriously say you took those posts seriously.
I took them seriously in the sense that you're suffering from a persecution complex, and that you think FP is an uber Democrat/liberal forum
Republican piece of shit. Deserved to die. All Republicans should be sent to Guantanamo bay to be executed.
If only he was a democrat, we would have mourned his death.

Yup. They don't understand common sense at all. Even their own spokesmen are admitted trolls. And they aren't democrats.

Because he was republican.
It isn't an uber-left forum. But the majority of posts I've seen either disagree with right-wing ideology or overgeneralize them.
[editline]12:28AM[/editline]
By the way, a persecution complex would mean I was the one feeling I am being persecuted. I don't feel I'm being persecuted. I'm trying to point out the natural bias towards the left that is present on this forum.
It isn't an uber-left forum. But the majority of posts I've seen either disagree with right-wing ideology or overgeneralize them.
Only on certain issues. When it comes to stuff like criminal justice, civil rights for women and minorities, and other social issues a large segment of FP is pretty hard right.
Only on certain issues. When it comes to stuff like criminal justice, civil rights for women and minorities, and other social issues a large segment of FP is pretty hard right.
Huh? Where do you see people in ITN going against women and minorities rights?
The only things I've seen that people exhibit right wing views on are the death penalty and a very few other social issues.
Uberman, how do you survive here? All you do is post about how republicans are being killed off by evil liberals and how terrible liberalism is. You get presented with arguments and you just disagree and offer no real rebuttal, you just disagree and expect that to be good enough. When it comes to looking at history, you're one of the most fucking ignorant posters here in terms of knowing how history really went down.
And you think fucking reaganomics is a good idea. That's worthy of being laughed at alone.
I wasn't being serious in those posts, how could anybody take that seriously.
And you just contradicted yourself. You say reaganomics is bad yet you give no argument.
Only on certain issues. When it comes to stuff like criminal justice, civil rights for women and minorities, and other social issues a large segment of FP is pretty hard right.
Are YOU the one who renamed my thread?

Reaganomics is bad because 1) Deregulation leads to corporations abusing their power and lower quality products, less accountability, and more stupidity. 2) Trickle down economics is idiotic and clearly doesn't work even under ideal circumstances.
Are YOU the one who renamed my thread?
It was that or lock it. You really need to be more responsible in ITN.
we already won. we just don't have an exit strategy. we won years ago.
In what world did the US win?
You don't know what you're talking about.
Bush Senior wasn't a bad president by any means.
ahahahahahahaha
This is kinda' funny, it's like a double standard for Bush.
why does it always have to be fucking Bush? You do realize that the house speaker Nacy Pelosi had to sign the bill allowing funding for the Iraq war? They could've cut funding anytime they wished, they openly "protest" the war but they don't do shit.
IE: all presidents suck except George Washington
Wait, so Pelosi caused this because she didn't stop Bush?
er
It was that or lock it. You really need to be more responsible in ITN.
Then lock it.
First off, it wasn't the VP who said it. It was the son of the VP.
Second off, if you're trying to say I was bias with the title, how is it "unbiased" that you put "the worst VP" in there?
He created a national surplus.
Can't have a surplus if you have a debt lol
He barely got us through the great depression and created Japanese concentration camps.
Barely? You've never talked to a person from that era, have you?

what was the original title?
what was the original title?
" Obama is the 'worst president ever' "
It's the name of the article it's from.
should have added "claims Dan Quayle"
should have added "claims Dan Quayle"
What difference would it of made?
