just so you know, I'm not advocating for the culling of people who like the furry fandom just because it is universally hated by people, I'm just commending this guy for following his feelings and actually doing something about his hate. Sure, it may have been stupid, but taking initiative is a good life lesson
There was a guy who did something like that before. Really hated the jews so he killed around 6 Million. You commend him too?
Was a second thread on this event really necessary? This derailed almost immediately into a shitfest.
Poor people...
snip nevermind
Quoting this as an almost perfect example to my previous post, it is really easy to get locked into an echo chamber where a few vocal individuals can make what is normally seen or meant as humor towards a group that is generally easy to make a joke out of into hatred, and then how other members of the community can further perpetuate that hatred in a desire to fit in with the community.
Er, most people are pretty creeped out/annoyed by furries, jokes or not. Plenty of people have weird fetishes but furries kind of take it to the extreme and then double up on that by trying to get people to publicly accept it. Don't get me wrong, I think this is awful, no matter how much of a weirdo you are you shouldn't be literally gassed for it, but there is quite a lot of general dislike for furries.
There was a guy who did something like that before. Really hated the jews so he killed around 6 Million. You commend him too?
getting off your ass and getting a job- taking initiative looking to become famous- taking initiative and then there's hitler and the dude who hates furries who took initiative. Yes, they killed and harmed people, and it's definitely bad without a doubt, but they took a step forward on what they believed in. They are horrible people and they are good examples of the wrong things to do in life. That's killing jews and harming people are what you don't take initiative on, plus a myriad of other horrible things. It's my fault for not being clear on what I said in the last post and I'm sorry for causing a shitstorm.
Really making the best of himself when he gets jailed for the rest of his life. and 19 people hospitalized because he/she thinks they are weird.
Why you you be jailed when you will not get caught?
Thank you. I don't know why everyone is getting on my back
The sentiment of 'stand up for what you believe in' isn't a bad thing, but I don't think it was intended to praise people acting on their feelings which result in chemical attacks or as noted above, genocide.
Thank you. I don't know why everyone is getting on my back
Because you're giving people praise for doing something terrible because they...followed through? It seems to me that it'd be a lot more praise worthy if they didn't go through with it.

I'm glad we've came to terms
Totally don't agree with furries but man that's fucked up. These people were minding their own business..
Its nice to know people in this thread are perfectly fine if i and others were victims of a chemical attack
you have to give this dude props though, everybody who hates furries complains about them on the internet and insults them, but they never do anything about it. This guy took the next step and actually went out and did something about it. What did he do? Hurt them.
The next step? Give me one reason why these people actually deserved to be hurt that doesn't make you look more like a fucking moron
Once again, from the other thread:
JFC we're fighting over some fandom when people could very well have died (thankfully no official reports of this). Grow up, set aside your differences for a day or two folks, as much as you and I may hate the fandom.

Its nice to know people in this thread are perfectly fine if i and others were victoms of a chemical attack
Hey, I'm not into dressing up like animals but I have a clear enough head to understand that people are people regardless of what they like to wear. I thought that Facepunch would've grown up by now but I guess not Working in a hospital and seeing people come in victims of all kinds of fucked up things that others did to them changes your view I suppose because it's sad. It's a hard process, these people don't only have to physically recover from their injuries but the psychological effect knowing it was intentional
The next step? Give me one reason why these people actually deserved to be hurt that doesn't make you look more like a fucking moron
never said they deserved to be hurt

Sure, it may have been stupid, but taking initiative is a good life lesson
Not when your initiative is to engage in chemical attacks on people who like different things, if you're seriously getting urges to do that, that you can't ignore, the proper initiative to take is to contact the most readily available psychologist.
Hey, I'm not into dressing up like animals but I have a clear enough head to understand that people are people regardless of what they like to wear.
never said they deserved to be hurt
You said that he has to be given props because he actually "went to the next level" He should be thrown in fucking jail is what should be done lol
You said that he has to be given props because he actually "went to the next level" He should be thrown in fucking jail is what should be done lol
did you read my other posts? I never said that
Facepunch shows it has some really toxic users when it comes to anything furry related.
Facepunch is full to the brim with hypocrites who protect other's rights when they agree with the circumstances and bash them when they don't
Facepunch shows it has some really toxic users when it comes to anything furry related.
Part of me can't help but wonder if it was one of them who did this.
did you read my other posts? I never said that
Right, you "commended him because he followed his feelings", AKA he absolutely disregarded all of societies rules and expectations to break the law and injure a bunch of innocent people. Good point, at least he followed his feelings! You know, I might hate my neighbor to the point where I want to fucking kill him but I would never dare harm him because I'm not a complete sociopath
you have to give this dude props though, everybody who hates furries complains about them on the internet and insults them, but they never do anything about it.
never said they deserved to be hurt
You just fucking said that it was a good thing he went through with his feelings Which his feelings were to hurt innocent people
Your memory is short.
Good examination, but I further clarified my points in later posts how what he did was bad
it was peta
Good examination, but I further clarified my points in later posts how what he did was bad
You didn't further clarify anything, you backpedaled, hard [editline]8th December 2014[/editline] lol just stop
