please stop you're reminding me of the edgy rationalizations i made back when i was 13.
how did you even make edgy rationalizations involving this sort of thing when you were 13 I thought you were born to be liberal as fuck
I think people are still forgetting that there were many people not related to the convention at all at the hotel that were affected by this.
Ok I never even intended to sound/look whatever the fuck you think I want to look. I was just trying to say "woah chill the fuck out"
So why don't you say that then instead of bringing up irrelevant things like the number of furries in the thread? No matter how many furries are here, they aren't wrong for being disgusted with the actions of the person in the article and there's certainly no 'furry defense force' out because someone made a dumb post.
Honestly I wasn't thinking when I made that second post. I meant to say that "I can see where he's coming from"
Again, say that. It'd still be just as ridiculous, but it wouldn't be irrelevant.
My thought process was that "The top posters in these threads are furries, and from what I see in the ratings in that post, a good portion are furries, plus a lot of the more flamey posts in the two threads are by furries"
Okay? So this matters why? That other guy made a pretty stupid post, and people rightfully called him out on it. And there would naturally be a large amount of furries here, in the same way there'd be alot of music fans in a thread about a musician or a new album. Not to mention some of the people on here know people who were at the convention.
This really shouldn't need to be explained. It's all common sense.

Because I was getting to that until you started bitching? And did you even read my post? I didn't even mean that there was a furry defense force, I was saying that it looked like one. Also yeah they have every right to be upset but they're really taking their feelings too far. This is what I was trying to bring to the thread
"Why would you say something like that"
"This is why he said this "
"You're an idiot for calling him out like this"
"You all need to relax"
"You're making yourselves look bad"

It matters because I was going to get to another topic how aggressive some furries are getting in the thread over some dumb comments when they shouldn't. They're just feeding the trolls and following the stereotype.
Also could you get any more pretentious like relax
I hope your friend gets caught and spends the rest of his life in a federal penitentiary.
He'd need a really fucking good reason to justify literally dozens of attempts of 1st degree murder.
Guy was bragging on 4chan saying that he was going to do it. I think he's already been reported.
you have to give this dude props though, everybody who hates furries complains about them on the internet and insults them, but they never do anything about it. This guy took the next step and actually went out and did something about it. What did he do? Hurt them.
So because a certain group of people are different from you it justifies bullying/physically harming them?
TBH, I think it was most likely a convention goer holding a grudge against someone(s) that did it. Furry grudges and drama get hella bad sometimes, and considering that the chlorine drop was on the stairwell affecting the 9th and 10th floors, it seems like they were targeting someone.
Like, if someone just had a grudge against furries in general, why not just release the stuff where everyone is congregated? Also, seeing as how the firemen said that their sensors were flipping the fuck out over the potency, it's clear the perpetrator had a significant enough amount of the chemical at his disposal to affect more than just two floors of this sizable hotel. I feel as though whoever did this knew their target was on either of those floors and released the stuff to get to them specifically.
Because I was getting to that until you started bitching? And did you even read my post? I didn't even mean that there was a furry defense force, I was saying that it looked like one.
I read your post unfortunately, and there still was no 'furry defense force' to be seen. I don't even know how delusional you have to be to think it even looked like there was.
Also yeah they have every right to be upset but they're really taking their feelings too far. This is what I was trying to bring to the thread
Who is? Because I see nothing except some posters calling someone out for an awful post. Then the guy proceeded to defend his awful post nonsensically which frustrated people.
I don't think you are in the same thread I am.

Except you didn't even bother to prove the people you are talking about are furries? You basically said "I know they are furries, but fuck did you want me to prove it lol" which yeah, I did. If you make a retarded claim like that, better have something to back it up with apart from "I know they are".
just so you know, I'm not advocating for the culling of people who like the furry fandom just because it is universally hated by people, I'm just commending this guy for following his feelings and actually doing something about his hate. Sure, it may have been stupid, but taking initiative is a good life lesson
shit like this is not ok like what are you doing man holy shit

dude relax
There is no facepunch furry defence squad, I'm just saying that some people probably think that there is judging from some of the incredibly aggressive comments in this thread and the other thread. Like why would someone be that aggressive over obvious flamebait posts

I am also referring to the other thread
I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you sit on Facepunch and like to pretend like you're any cooler than the average furry... l m a o
You guys act so autistic.
ok would you like me to link their tumblr/furaffinity/whatever to prove that they're a furry like i'm not going to make in my post "these guys are known furries" and include evidence because that would be incredibly creepy and invasive are you aware of that.
I'm not going to post people's private sites on here just to prove a point because no one gives a shit and it's just rude. It doesn't even matter if they are actually furries or not. For example I don't have to be left-wing to look like I'm left wing. I could agree with some right-wing ideals and be left-wing.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone, I obviously don't support chemical weapons used in terrorism. I just wanted to make a point that being aggressive as hell makes you look like an idiot (esp when it's obvious flamebait)
So if it was a chemical weapons attack at a con, does that make it a conventional weapon?
was uncle kage there doing chemistry?
Too bad.
So if it was a chemical weapons attack at a con, does that make it a conventional weapon?
It's not conventional because chemical weapons are a violation of the furry convention.
Who wants to place bets on who did it?
My money's on a coalition between SexualShark and ISIS.
This seems like a big case of "you like thing, STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE" to extreme degrees. It's sad to see things like this because people will never grow out of this, especially on the lightest of subjects such as a subculture like this that causes no real threat to anything.
I literally cannot understand how some keyboard crusaders in this thread can praise this person as a hero.

Imagine actually trying to justify first degree murder via gassing just because you find a fandom weird
Imagine actually trying to justify first degree murder via gassing just because you find a fandom weird
they like what I don't, and that's terrible
There is no facepunch furry defence squad, I'm just saying that some people probably think that there is judging from some of the incredibly aggressive comments in this thread and the other thread. And they would be impressionable idiots if they thought that. Who in their right mind would think some people getting upset over someone making a dumb post would equal some kind of weird as fuck defense network?
I am also referring to the other thread
Could have made that more clear, though still wrong no matter which way you spin it however.
If someone is thinking there is some coordinated defense group out to protect furries because some people didn't like dumb posts on the subject, might want to get themselves committed or something because that's some high level paranoia going on there.
ok would you like me to link their tumblr/furaffinity/whatever to prove that they're a furry like i'm not going to make in my post "these guys are known furries" and include evidence because that would be incredibly creepy and invasive are you aware of that.
Then don't make the claim if you didn't want to back it up. Also I don't think you should be commenting on the creepiness of that when you noted a majority of people rating a post were furries, then decided to try and call all of them out on it. That's kinda weird itself that you went to the effort.
Can we just use this thread as an idiot cull for the people who rate it winner? Because that's seriously saying that murder of people you don't like is acceptable, and that's seriously psychotic. What the hell did the people who suffered from it do to you to deserve getting attacked my chemical weapons that could have been lethal? Are you seriously condoning wholesale murder and genocide of people you have because they like something?
Some of you people need a reality check, seriously.
I'm surprised that the exact contents of the jar still aren't known yet. I've never heard of a chlorine attack before.
Imagine risking going to jail for what is fairly close to terrorism because of internet culture wars.
Are you for real
Seeing why someone could see it as completely justified is not the same as agreeing with the position.

People are so entrenched in their views and opinions of other people's lives they lose common sense it's an Internet thing
