congrats on failing basic history well at least failing in a decent school system.
The history classes I've been in usually say just about the same thing that he did to be honest. I had to learn on my own(I love learning about WWII in Europe, especially the Eastern Front) about that shit. Then I was pissed because I was lied to.

Everyone's finally starting to get along, eh?
aaaaaaaand if russia wasn't hiding missiles in cuba and if the rest of the world wasn't like "CUMUNISM IS BAD KILL CAWMIES" but thats too much to ask, that's like asking the world to live in peace with eachother, yea right.
The Cuba Missile Crisis was during the Cold War. Also, Russia is basically the only "good communist country." Also, Russia is baddass. :buddy:
:australia: cannot into parade
:china: Taiwan was in the war too, but they cannot participate now that China's taken over.
:china: Taiwan was in the war too, but they cannot participate now that China's taken over.
Taiwan is ruled by 'Republic of China' ROC, not the 'People's Republic of China' PRC. If I'm right, U.S. has a defendant treaty with Taiwan against the Chinese, If I'm correct, preventing China from taking over. If China decides to invade, I don't know if U.S. would intervene, or let them through.

"Aw, okay." Pretty much how it would go.
Most likely, it's a 70 mile large island, with 23 million people on it. How do they fit on there?
Sorcery
When I read the title, I seriously thought it was a bunch of boozed-up American tourists wandering into the parade.
Most likely, it's a 70 mile large island, with 23 million people on it. How do they fit on there?
Now imagine those are people.
Both the Nazis and the Soviets were evil. The only difference is that the Soviets could hide bodies.
Both the Nazis and the Soviets were evil, but the Nazis were more reckless with their holocaust. The Soviets covered up their evidence.
Don't you have anything better to do? Anyway, this perhaps, is the first time, there ever was a black person in the parade. That's not a joke.
Both the Nazis and the Soviets were evil, but the Nazis were more reckless with their holocaust. The Soviets covered up their evidence.
^ It's this kind of idiotic attitude that distances Russia from the west and makes russians support nationalists like the one in this article.
We need a Band of Brothers style miniseries for the Eastern Front. There was way more fighting, it's a rarely told side of the story, it's a really awesome story and it's great for Russian-American relations. It fits in nicely with the Nazi stereotype too; where the Nazis were civil to American and British forces, they were animals to the Russians and treated as animals in turn. Also lots of glorified and patriotic violence.
^ It's this kind of idiotic attitude that distances Russia from the west and makes russians support nationalists like the one in this article.
I like current Russia, but I hate the Soviet Union. They were almost as bad as the Nazis in terms of killing civilians.
We shouldn't be celebrating the Soviets.
So we should just ignore the immense soviet contribution to the war and continue to hide under our cold war rock? No thanks, boba. Not that this parade celebrates the soviets, anyway. Only a right-wing nut like you would think so.

Otherwise it wouldn't be historically accurate.
I wonder if the U.S. would allow for russian troops to march down through Washington D.C.
If that's the case you also need to include the Russians raping German women and children and committing other acts of barbarism. What is the march they played when they showed the state flag and banner of victory?
fuck yeah now russia should join NATO :downs:
China took Russia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanghai_Cooperation_Organisation Ok, maybe not an alliance, but something similar to Nato.
^ It's this kind of idiotic attitude that distances Russia from the west and makes russians support nationalists like the one in this article.
how is that idiotic at all? It's completely correct.
Correct to what? Pretend we're still in the cold war? This parade celebrates the victory the soviets had over the germans in the bloodiest theatre of the war. We can't ignore what they did to win that war because we're still stuck in cold war sentiments and refuse to acknowledge the soviets did anything good. Not to mention it's not correct. The soviets never had a holocaust or started imperialist wars, so I'm not sure how you equate them with the nazis. Especially when I could do the same with western countries.
:australia: cannot into parade
Nor :canada:
Nor :canada:
Canada was at war too you know.
Canada was at war too you know.
Canada had a there own beach in D-Day.

[editline]11:57AM[/editline]
Canada had a there own beach in D-Day.
And we performed the best out of all the forces that landed.

At least Utah wasn't a complete failure like Omaha was for us.
