EA to Wii U Owners who want to Play Madden 25: 'Play Last Year's Verison Instead'
you ever consider that some of those studios were shut down because they weren't efficient enough workers, or that paying them was proving too costly in the long run?
Have you ever read the interviews with heads of those studios such as Richard Garriott? EA was infamous for corporate meddling within these developer studios was infamous.
and in any case, hating ea isn't bad as long as you have good reason. There are some on this forum who spew blatant lies because they either don't know or don't care about the truth, and as far as I care being dishonest like that in criticizing something is enough reason for me to call them out on their shit.
I agree with you, but I am not afraid to call people out on both sides of the table. I really hate it when people come to arguments without doing their homework.
Even by sports game standards I think Madden / NBA games are too boring. The earlier Street games were some of my favorites, NFL / NBA Street 1-2 had a fantastic style and feel to it. I guess some like Mario Kart and some like Gran Turismo.
NBA Jam is the best version of the NBA series. If you haven't played those games, you are missing out, since they show what they could really do with the sport franchises if they get really creative.

My favorite sports games were the Backyard series.
sorry that I don't stalk milkandcooki and don't care what he's said before.
Well, I'll condense it into about one post.
Basically, the point where I decided his input on EA-related matters was questionable is about here:
Gee PCGamesN, thanks for reporting on shit that nobody cares about to get pageviews due to controversy!
What will you report on next? "New EA CEO mentions the title "SimCity 5" in an interview?"
The article in question essentially boiling down to "there'll some downtime as a patch goes up, this time adding some requested features". So more or less it showed he didn't really read, and instead just jumped to posting... well, that.
So I believe it's pertinent to note that he at least has a history of bias.
There hasn't been much change in the FIFA games. Nothing that couldn't be patched for free.
What an incredibly myopic view of game development.
Why should all of those developers work their asses off and practically burn money, for pretty much no profit in return?
Looks to me as if this forum changed from: 'who cares anyway' to the EA fanboys running in and screaming about how EA are good. At the end of the day everyone jumped on the hate EA bandwagon, but was there a reason for it?

... Yes
Oh hey, it's that bandwagon accusation post again. Nevermind the fact that there are tons of perfectly valid reasons to dislike EA (How many studios have they shut down?), we'll sweep that under the rug and call it a bandwagon to dismiss the opinions of many, whether or not that is actually the case.
Congratulations, you've managed to make more mistakes, blind assumptions, and fallacies in one sentence than most Facepunchers can manage in a 2000-word essay.
I, too, was awaiting the obligatory "facepunch is not a hivemind/bandwagon" post. What's really funny about that post is that, despite trying to claim that Facepunch isn't a huge-ass hive filled with angsty PC gamer bees, is working against itself because the same post has been posted over and over and OVER again, like one of those angry PC gamer bees mindlessly seeks out his angry masterrace flowers. With varying degrees of passive-aggressiveness as well
It's pretty obvious how bandwagony facepunch really is. Just look at any thread in Sensational Headlines and 50% of the posts will literally say the exact same thing.

My post kind of blows because of the dumb analogy I tried to use, but yeah this.
Even the posts that try to say that Facepuch isn't bandwagony are also bandwagony. Like your post. And my post.

May I ask if you have any insight into FIFA development that we are not aware of?

I don't think it is really fair or tasteful to compare someone driving drunk and/or high with a death involved to a gaming conversation.
You're right about that I was just trying to prove a point I guess, I don't even know what you people are arguing about :v:
Well this isn't going aywhere.
EA does bad stuff, is that new? If I wanted to play a Madden game, I doubt I'd pick the Wii U for that anyway. Although for the few that would/already own a Wii U, it's quite the middle finger indeed.
I'm probably underestimating the popularity and sales of sports games, mostly because I don't understand the point of most of them. But for what I know, Madden games aren't really bestsellers, and certainly not on Nintendo systems for a while now.

Actually Madden has always sold well.
