Sobotnik if I recall correctly last time you took a photo of yourself everyone laughed at you for a year.
This Ron Paul fellow must honestly suck hard if that's the best you have to offer in his defence :v:

American politics are the biggest joke on the planet :v:
American politics are the biggest joke on the planet :v:
Somalian politics actually are, hence Ron Paul wanting to bring America on par with the Somalians.
Sobotnik if I recall correctly last time you took a photo of yourself everyone laughed at you for a year.
if i recall correctly last time a woman saw your penis she mocked you for a year. ad hominem works both ways, you tit.
Throughout his speech, Paul questioned not only the fundamental health of America’s social compact, but specifics like fiat money, the power of the Federal Reserve, the PATRIOT Act, Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act modifications, undeclared war, the illegalization of medical marijuana, mandatory sentencing requirements for drug crimes, the illegalization of hemp, TSA searches, federal debt and borrowing, the White House’s authority to assassinate those it declares terrorists, the legalization of detaining U.S. citizens for national-security purposes, the political power of AIPAC, and the regulation of light bulbs and toilets in people’s homes
I actually somewhat agree with a few of these. I do feel like the US has overstepped its bounds with the Patriot ACT and the FBI arresting people for medical marijuana instead of trying to strike down those state laws. While I say that some of his ideals are pretty out there, I do agree we are facing some power issues at the moment.
Sobotnik if I recall correctly last time you took a photo of yourself everyone laughed at you for a year.
if this is the best reasoning you have to support ron paul then you should probably end it all now
love, compassion, tolerance, and free market economics
Somalian politics actually are, hence Ron Paul wanting to bring America on par with the Somalians.
That's not true at all. Somalia isn't a libertarian nation to begin with. And even if it was, I could argue that there are plenty of countries in Africa with powerful federal governments that are doing poorly.

I wonder if the hardcore libertarians believe in images like these: [t]http://i.imgur.com/nae30.jpg[/t]
he's only leaving because he got elected ruler of his own planet of tiny ron pauls and doesn't need us anymore
what about somalia isn't comparable to anarcho capitalism
It's really not comparable. If Somalia and the United States adopted the same government style (regardless of the type) the US would naturally outperform Somalia because of the pre-existing conditions.
That's not true at all. Somalia isn't a libertarian nation to begin with. And even if it was, I could argue that there are plenty of countries in Africa with powerful federal governments that are doing poorly.
Except libertarianism really doesn't work. It's the modern era, states education, healthcare, etc IS needed.
Except libertarianism really doesn't work. It's the modern era, states education, healthcare, etc IS needed.
The government should supply education. However, I feel like, as a culture, people are becoming more dependent on the government than they really should be. Yes, the US is becoming more socialist, but we're not any better off.

Yes, the US is becoming more socialist, but we're not any better off.
Better off than we were in 1982? We sure as hell are. White old men are now fast becoming a minority, drug prohibition is on it's last days, the soviet union is dead, gays can openly serve in the military and can marry in some states. Not only that, but our media is no longer dictated to us through one or two companies, as we have the internet to go to for a second opinion.
However, I feel like, as a culture, people are becoming more dependent on the government than they really should be.
The government is the people.
Yes, the US is becoming more socialist, but we're not any better off.
That's because A: the efforts at reform are token ones and often hotly contested and B: Socialism does actually make people better off. I have free healthcare, free university, free prescription drugs, subsidized bus passes and loads of other goodies (I'm a jammy bastard). It's unfair to say that Americans don't deserve Socialism when they have worked themselves up to become one of the richest and most powerful states on earth.
No but they should help people get back on their feet if they fall down.
considering the fuckton of money that every first-world country shoves up the arse of their military i think they're pretty fucking capable of caring for their populace. i'm glad that people who are unwilling to work or unable to work are cared for instead of left in the dirt. i have family members with large psychological and physical issues (some of which don't count as disability.) who are completely uncapable of working who have been cared for greatly by the government. and i am proud of that. i want a government that cares for everyone big and small. regardless of who they are or what they do. (excluding working people, obv.)

But if you're just a lazy shit who can't be arsed you can fuck off, that money should go to people who need it.
My sister thinks Ron Paul is smart Help
"In the largest political victory of his career" i'm crying right now
There's a very very nice NK reference in there too. It's another great article.
you can't pick and choose between that sort of thing. what gives the government to dictate who deserves to live or who deserves to be left in the dust? what gives them the superiority? a fancy suit and shiny shoes? a five-star grin and a bright tiepin?
Is this supposed to be some weird satire of socialism or something?
I too like to grossly oversimplify things to make it look like I actually understand what I'm talking about.
I was lampooned on the first page for being a dick (and rightfully so), and now it's suddenly okay to do it to me? Please, make an argument. Mocking me won't prove anything.

We are merely the tenants on that land.
