China may be an economic superpower, but not necessarily a military one. Their Navy for example is under-equipped and unable to project its force anywhere. This is true to a lesser extent for their Army and Air Force. Germany as well, isn't a comparable military force when stacked against the US, with the size of their military simply being smaller.
Your country is one of it's allies you dolt.
I can't believe that cunt is against NATO. I'm baffled.
Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Centre of Trade and Economic Co-operation Sergey Sanakoev
Seriously, what do you suspect he's going to say? "We don't think Beijing and Russia could possibly have a future partnership, but it's going to be fun while it lasts!"
This is the equivalent of Activision saying CoD is the Star Wars of the 2000s generation. Why would you listen to just someone on the inside? I mean, if this guy wasn't affiliated with the program, or a 2nd person confirmed what he was saying, it would be different. But his viewpoint is obviously going to be ridiculously biased.
Not a single one of those is what the US is known for... Europe is way better known for it's food, and although any country has its master chefs the average quality of food in the US is much poorer than abroad. Besides that, the US has done less for advancing the basis of science than many countries - some of "the US's" best scientists did not come from the US, they were from Britain, Serbia, France, Germany, etc. Once again, not to say the US hasn't done a lot for science, but to say that the US spawned the current era of science is unbelievably ignorant.
No offense, but iirc US culture is exported across the globe much more than foreign culture is imported.
Didn't the Space Race and US military technology also lead to a significant scientific boost overall globally? I'm almost positive without the tension between the USSR and US, we would not have the advanced travel technology we do today.

The PRC is still very much a growing power. The military capability of the PLA is currently suited for regional military conflicts and not expeditionary operations on a piece of godforsaken land on the other side of the Earth. Could it turn into something having expeditionary capabilities similar to the the United States in the next 10-20 years? Does it feel it requires such a power projection force? Hard to say.
The Soviet Union was too a military superpower, but its navy wasn't tailored toward aggressive American-style power projection. However, it did use a "softer" means of projecting power via military assistance and arms to allied countries in the Third World and countries fighting wars of national liberation. On the other hand, one of the key features of the conventional theater-strategic offensive formulated by Marshal Ogarkov in the 1980s was a depth of up to 1500 kilometers. Beginning from the Elbe River out west, that would reach out to the Pyrenees foothills.

Indeed.
The EU would make a powerful superpower.
The EU is made up of too many different cultures to be properly united.
But if it somehow does manage to unite, then it'll have a good chance of becoming the world's superpower.
I'm not gonna lie, Russia has some seriously promising and interesting projects ahead of it, take a lookskie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_largest_projects_in_the_Russian_economy#2011

I'd rather have America be the superpower than Russia/China.
While America may have a corrupt and incompetent government, we do a lot of things right. We spawned an era of incredible technological and scientific advances. Americans makes movies and music the rest of the world loves. We respect individual rights and fought so that everyone may be free. And we have great food.
I don't think the world would be better knowing the the people who rule China and Russia are the top dogs.
How do you know everyone loves your movies/music?
Most cinemas in other parts of the world never play movies from other countries because the US has taken over the whole market, it's really difficult for someone to decide wether they like french movies over american movies if they never get the chance to see them in movie theaters.
In latin america we'd rather listen to local music than all the crap the US throws at our faces. A lot of good music comes out the US but you can't talk for everyone by saying everyone loves american music.
Technological advancements are achievements of the human race, not of a country, and most inventios made in the US were highly influenced or based on past inventions by people from other countries.
That freedom speech is little too hypocritical nowadays, you fight for your freedom while economically oppressing other countries (i.e. Cuba) and intervening in political processes in many countries to put them at your mercy, sorry I don't buy that bullshit speech.
Also, your food is far from the best.
Russia and China also hate each other, they always have.
I wouldn't say they hate each other.
Distrust after a long period of hate maybe.

It's known that Americans stole bunch of technology from Europe/Asia.

Luxembourg's the country nobody hears about. There are few morons only because they are smart enough to keep out of everyone's shit.
Am I the only one expecting China to build a 4,000+ mile long freeway across the pacific to the US? I mean, they've already proved to us for the past decade they can build freakishly science-fiction-like projects with ridiculous ease whilst maintaining their massive economic growth.
It's crazy to see them become a poor nation of slums and sweatshops, to a nation of strip malls, hip-hop and SUVs in less than a generation. They're experiencing what the US did in the 1950s times a hundred. Don't be surprised to see them the leaders of international news while the US is biting the dust mid-century.

Please, they've already shown a great deal of limitations to the things that they can do. Sure, they can build row after row of skyscrapers and apartment building, but it feels like the second you get more complicated than that things turn into a gigantic clusterfuck.
I mean, look at what happened with their high-speed rail project. Open for a relatively short period of time, and there's already been a horrific accident. That and the fact that people die on escalators over there has lead me to believe that any "engineering expedition of our time" is not something the Chinese can handle, at least until they have more experience and are more likely to care about regulations and safety concerns like decent building materials, instead of facades filled with trash on bridges.
All of that aside, the United States has some of the safest building codes on the face of the planet. Not that we have any major projects to concern ourselves with at the moment, sadly. Try not to condemn your own nation so quickly, we still have the ability to come out of this thing eventually.

Yes the US will rule forever now stop trying to destroy morale Shotacon or you will be shot at dawn for treason.

The train accident was the result of lightning hitting a train causing a power failure, another train crashed into the stalled train, which was in the middle of a rural area. This could have happened anywhere.
And you're no one to judge building code when more than 75% of US's real estate and infrastructure is literally crumbing under itself. A single building that tipped over several years ago in a very wet area of china and a train crash that has nothing to do with infrastructure code are very bad examples to use.

China is transitioning to a consumer-based economy. China becoming a nation of consumers could easily make them the ruler.
