did linelor ever get laid or what
That fat furry, highly doubtful.
Hey baby, did you hear it's legal to impersonate a war hero? Hi, I just got back from a tour in Iraq.
i was at the battle of wasteland on domination :smug:
I was implying that you will fit in with most facepunchers as 90% of the members are liberals.
But I'm not a liberal... Edit: Know the difference between libertarian and liberal, especially when "Don't tread on me" is your avatar.
I thought hero meant saving lives not taking them.
Finally. Vets need to suck it up. "Oh, I fought for your rights, as long as those rights don't include freedom of expression"
I thought hero meant saving lives not taking them.
Well no, but the killing part makes them cool.
Finally. Vets need to suck it up. "Oh, I fought for your rights, as long as those rights don't include freedom of expression"
So fraud is covered under freedom of expression now?
I don't think you should go to jail for stolen honor, just a hefty fine.
Yeah, I'll vote in a moment, but before that, I gotta deal with some problems, my wife just got raped, so I must throw her off a balcony to preserve my family honor :v:. "Honor" never did anything good, it just kills people.
On topic, just because there's a nationalist military (read fascist) culture in the US, it doesn't justify punishing someone for "stealing their valor". Valor is a purely imaginary construct that, while it has its uses, is nothing but personal preference and fanboyism (if that's a word).
hahaha theres a facist culture in the US. thats rich
I thought hero meant saving lives not taking them.
In war those two can be the same.
It's incredibly low to lie about being a war hero. There was a teacher at my old school who lied about his whole profession and all the heroism war stories he had done. Special forces, everything. Lots of kids looked up to him, even teachers. He even had the whole uniform to top it off, until a teacher exposed him and he was fired. He was never in the military once. There's a whole site dedicated to track these kinds of people and now he's in another state trying to fake it. It's just sad. Everyone wants to be a hero.
I need to buy some medals. [editline]07:37PM[/editline] If you manage to exploit people and get money with it then you can write books and be a hero.
Believe me, I've thought about the confliction. But it seems too wrong to go unpunished. These people risked their lives in combat and for people to try to achieve personal gain, it's just wrong.
I'm not trying to seem a douche or anything here, but don't those people - militants - register because they want to, to serve their conscience? I mean, I was unaware of anyone in the military pursuing the career to create a celebrity-like image of themselves - I don't think they pursue it to make themselves look good, but do so in conscience. Again, I'm not trying to seem a douche and my apologies if this post appears as an inaccurate negative portrayal of military service men/women, but -- if killing people, even if they're defined as enemies to make yourself look good, then well -- I don't know. If in conscience to ultimately make for a better world - a peaceful environment, to reduce the suffering of innocents and to give others a greater opportunity to both survive and prosper in the world, not that I advocate war or the military by any means - I'm personally against that component of our instinctual behavior - but I suppose I might be for making the world an overall, better place (albeit I'm all for ethical alternative means).
It was illegal? Oh shit.
Finally. Vets need to suck it up. "Oh, I fought for your rights, as long as those rights don't include freedom of expression"
Vets need to suck it up. I mean getting shot at and blown up is nothing. While I do not agree with the recent wars, I do believe that you should respect veterans.
I would guess this is legal in the UK, not sure.
I shot a bird, have sex with me.
Don't you get jailtime for wearing medals that you did not earn?
So fraud is covered under freedom of expression now?
How is it fraud? If I want to wear a military uniform complete with real badges, how is that in any way fraud? Why is there some arbitrary restriction on what I can wear? [editline]05:41PM[/editline]
Vets need to suck it up. I mean getting shot at and blown up is nothing. I can disrespect anything I want whenever I want. If I want to go to a Vets meet-up and burn a flag across the street, big fucking whoop-dee-doo.
So fraud is covered under freedom of expression now?
Pretty sure fraud requires a tangible gain to be illegal. Sex and kudos aren't tangible.
It is possible for it to be a tangible gain. :q:
