When you buy an android device the device manufacturer always fucks up android.
Cyanogen mod unfucks android to a fresh from Google state (with a little useful tweaks here and there)
I flashed a nightly on my Galaxy S3 thanks to the help of Gran PC a few weeks ago, it made it a LOT better than the stock Samsung firmware.
Best part is that there was an issue that was on the nightly build the day I flashed (it was crashing some media players), it was solved in the next nightly, which I was able to flash directly from the phone itself. It's really great.
Cool, Kindle Fire 2
No builds available for my Galaxy S2 (Australia here). I'm shocked.
Same here :(
If there are no stable builds for your device, try the nightlies. They're usually better anyway, since they have a few features that didn't make the cut for this stable release.
Okay so it lags what do I do with my life
Android, what do you expect?

Cyanogenmod still tinkers with Android it just tinkers with it in a way that less people complain about
I should mention as a good word that using CM10.1 based on AOSP 4.2.2 pretty much double my battery life and I made it last even more by underclocking by about 1/4 when not doing performance based tasks.

I've heard enough people saying it runs like shit on the S3 that I don't think I'll be upgrading yet
Maybe if the official 4.2.2 takes too long to show up

The last monthly version doesn't lag at all, but any subsequent version lags, I have no idea why. Is there anything I'm supposed to do between rom updates?

This is definitely a positive, stock S3 has pretty bad battery life
is there any reason I should use cyanogenmod compared to say slim bean if I'm just looking for basic features, reliability and battery life or should i just stick with slim bean

I don't know about the S3's variants, but it's fine on the unlocked international one. Super sleek here.

Mine is the Rogers one (same as what AT&T uses in the states, I believe)
any experience anyone?

What one are you using for the S3 International? I can only find v9 for S3 int
Took long enough, my GNex didn't live long enough to see this day though.
Maybe another day...
good grief first load always takes forever :v:

Right here! http://get.cm/?device=i9300&type=nightly
Anyone using the nightly S4 ones?
Recommend it? or should I go for a more "stable" release
Damn i was hoping my hp touchpad would be on this list.
You guys know there's an android megathread in hardware & software, where you can talk about stuff like that all day and actually get good answers to your questions, right?
I've been running 10.1 nightlies on my tmo gs3 for a while now and it's been perfectly fine performance-wise. I'll try out the stable build but I'll probably end up back on nightlies anyway lol
I'll give it a try once stable comes on i9100, if it comes.
Probably will.
so is this rom pointless if you have a nexus 4? i use paranoid android and i'm not sure if i should pick this over it
No galaxy note 2 verizon stable 0/10 worst release of all time

I am pretty sure that slim bean is a modified version of cm 10, most non touchwiz roms are based on either that or kang
Darn it, my device isn't on there
Nightly's are regretful so I'll have to wait :(
I should probably mention, there's been some uploads since I posted that huge screenshot, so if you just checked that, you might be in luck. Here's the builds that have been uploaded since I took that capture:

what is this?
is this for rooting? i dont see why this is necessary for my note 2

It's basically a different "distribution" of android, with tons of additional features and settings, and usually much more optimized than the copy your device came with, depending on bloatware. It also comes pre-rooted, so you don't have to do it yourself after installing CM.
