The US is fucking retarded. For every step forward they take 100 steps backwards. I mean, how can it possibly even be possible that homosexuals are discriminated in such a way in a country, it's mindboggling.
Every country has its problems, if you look at a country by only specific details you can say every nation is "fucking retarded". Not to mention most people in the US are fine with gays.
Um not everyone in America hates gays. There's been like gay pride parades and more states legalizing it, plus many companies are supporting it. (read the title)
And yet the government tries to introduce a "Defense of Marriage" Act which is extremely discriminating
Not to mention most people in the US are fine with gays.
That statement is very optimistic. I would say that the number of people who hate homosexuality is equal or slightly greater to the number of people who support homosexuals.
Google seems to be missing from that list too, I know they heavily support it.
Don't forget Bethesda because it seems that they gave you the option to marry the same sex in Skyrim. Every furry was hyped for this because you could marry gay bipedal lizards which isn't creepy at all.
And yet the government tries to introduce a "Defense of Marriage" Act which is extremely discriminating
You know that's getting demolished in the courts right now right? That whole damn thing was supported by a minority who managed to get a slim majority in the house and senate while a homophobic president was in office, and now it's getting shut down. This is a country that's been based on Christian ideals, give us time to change all that. If you look at it, more than half the United States supports gay marriage, that should say something alone.
If Valve publicly supports gay rights, then I'll still buy their video games! Also, I feel like a lot of companies support gay marriage just for publicity and stuff, because I'm pretty sure a lot of them don't actually care if gay marriage is legalized or not.
I'm pretty sure such large companies are bound to have a few gay people working for them. Employee wellbeing and all.
I love how conservatives try to counter this by saying "let's keep corporations out of politics" when the entire conservative agenda is a handful of wealthy corporations fundings
EA has a lot of gay staff IIRC; they made a video about it once.
I mentally facepalm every time someone says "homosexuality is unnatural", because of how uninformed the person saying that is. Even animals occasionally form homosexual couples (that gay penguin couple was all over the news on several occasions), you can't get more "natural" than that. [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline] I'm sure they're just jumping on Google bandwagon to get a bit better PR, and it seems to be working for them.
I've actually argued with someone who said homosexuality was unnatural, and when I told them lots of animals can, and have been homosexual, they then said humans aren't animals and homosexuals are animals.
That whole damn thing was supported by a minority who managed to get a slim majority in the house and senate while a homophobic president was in office, and now it's getting shut down.
It passed with a large majority, 85-14 in the senate and 342–67 in the house of reps. Nearly 2/3 of democrats in both houses voted for it. Shows how much things have changed.

That's some Nazi shit right there. Does he think that we should open "bakeries" for homosexuals as well?
